We came for the birding and tour of the Mayan Ruins and it didn't disappoint . It is a family run business and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. The food is good and plentiful. The dining area is in an open setting facing the jungle with birds everywhere. The grounds... More

I stayed here with my best friend; we added this stay into the middle of our time in Belize for a little adventure. Although I'm a little skittish around heights and middle of the water excursions, my friend was ready. So I gave it a go, and this was the part of the trip that lead to Belize stealing my... More

We stayed at Crystal Paradise for 2 nights. The grounds of the lodge are superb for bird watching. They have several different kind of tanagers, toucans and aracaris. We spent the entire two days bird watching in its gardens and had a great time. There is a trail that goes to the river and it's fantastic to sit on the... More

The resort is a owned and run by a local Belizean family that takes attention to detail and customer service very seriously. From the moment I booked they were extremely helpful in setting up tours and answering questions. Crystal Paradise does have onsite kitchen that serves Belizean cuisine. Prices are very reasonable and the food is FANTASTIC. I want to... More

The highlight of each morning was sipping coffee in the porch swing at sunrise while watching colorful birds swoop in to grab some of the fruit the staff put out. There's an honor system bar (grab a beer or wine and add your name to the tab) where I snagged a GREAT bottle of Chilean red for $19. We ran... More

The resort is hidden away in the jungle a short drive from town, but is a real gem. It is family run. Various family members oversee different aspect of the hospitality service. They are a friendly inviting group. It is quiet in a super great setting. It has honeymoon potential written all over it. The cabanas are clean, roomy and... More

Crystal Paradise Resort is an excellent base camp option for people interested in birding and exploring Mayan ruins. Most rooms share a wall and a covered front porch with a neighbor. each room has a private bath and comfortable beds. The restaurant is open air, food is served family-style, and alcohol and beer is available. The grounds are beautiful and... More

My stay at Crystal Paradise was most comfortable and enjoyable. The resort is all that it promises and more. The Cabins are excellent and relaxing. The grounds of the resort provided me with nature walks and bird watching. They are well kept. My hosts at Crystal Paradise were like extended family and the meals were very good. Gentian

This is one of the last few Belizean resorts that is family owned. The tours they organize and the food they prepare is all amazing. Its a great peaceful area where you can explore the village or stay and relax in the jungle. We stayed a couple places on our trip and this was the highlight of our honeymoon.
