If you’re the type who likes an impersonal Travelodge-type experience, then this is not for you. Wonderfully human, friendly and naturally caring and interested. Very clean and spacious rooms. Very peaceful. My partner is disabled, but there was no problem in booking a ground-floor room. We are both bookworms – Tracey an avid reader and me an author of dark... More

We were on a walking holiday and we booked this as it was one of the best value B&Bs in the area. We were put into one of the attic rooms, which were recently converted and quite spacious. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable, though the winter duvet in August was a bit warm. With the sloping roof... More

Had a lovely, comfortable weekend. The room was very clean and everything was provided, even a corkscrew. Great nights sleep and a good quality breakfast. only a short walk into Hay, but in a nice quiet area. Pauline is very welcoming and we hope to go back sometime.

We stayed here 2 nights on our Offa's Dyke walk. A nice room with a good shower. The room had 2 skylights and was all quite modern. Pauline was a grand hostess and a wonderful cook. A few blocks from town center but a nice quiet location.

Very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and clean. Walk into Hay is not far and gives time to take in the views. Would definitely stay again and recommend it happily. B&B has 3 rooms - 2 in attic. We stayed with friends and had a great time, breakfast was available when we wanted which is a nice change to... More

We were tired walkers, so the generous room, great shower, good sleep and quality breakfast were exactly what we wanted. Free wifi and even a plate, cutlery and wine glasses are included in the room as well as tea and coffee. Plenty of parking too, an all round winner.

This is actually just inside the English border, but only ten minutes from Hay-on-Wye, so it's ideal for visiting the book town but also for touring the area. Our room was comfortable and en-suite, the English breakfast delicious and hostess Pauline friendly and helpful.

A real 'local' B&B with just three rooms in a modern bungalow just across the border from Hay-on-Wye. Actually it is only a 10 minute walk into town, and well worth it for the peace and quiet of this cul-de-sac location. Pauline is a very friendly hostess and cooks up a good 'full English' breakfast. There is parking for guests.... More

Had a wonderful stay at Stay in Hay (Vermont). Lovely large, sunlit, immaculate room, very comfy bed and all mod cons. Pauline was a fantastic host and made us really welcome. Breakfast was superb and the location perfect, 5 min walk from Hay on Wye but in a lovely quiet cul-de-sac. Had a hearty perfectly cooked breakfast as well as... More
