We (myself & my brother) normally plan a vacation at the end of the year along with our folks back home & mostly end up spending a fortnight at North Bengal. This time we decided taking a break into the wilderness of Kaziranga and stumbled upon Diphlu River Lodge. Good lord, what a brilliant property, tucked nicely by the Diphlu... More

A Hidden Gem on the Edge of Kaziranga. Blink and U shall miss it on the highway. Awesome 2 days. Tip: Use the Resort Geep Sajari..You get the best guided tour of Kaziranag and is well equipped with Bino Goggles.

I was there on May 23-25, 2015. It is a very nice property just beside the small stream of Diphlu river. It was booked by the Forest Department.... The rooms are lovely, spacious and they have a very cordial lovely staff who are always willing to help but never intrude to your privacy. The room is very spacious, lovely bed,... More

Stayed at Diphlu River Lodge from 22-24th May 2015. Had booked through Booking.com and had not done any subsequent confirmation with DRL. Was shocked to note that no reservation was available and the Guwahati office of DRL intimated that they book themselves and have no tie-ups with Booking.com. Frantic calls to Booking.com also resulted in no positive results. However, the... More

We have stayed in Diphlu River Lodge (DRL) twice, both times as a part of our cruise on ABN Charaidew sailing the mighty Brahmaputra. First time was more than five years ago and then recently in November last year. DRL is situated on the eponymous Diphlu river and is the only resort inside the famous Kaziranga National Park in Assam.... More

Another fabulous spot for viewing wildlife! We had a great driver and guide and did a variety of activities while staying at Diphlu Lodge: we had a wonderful opportunity to bath one of the elephants; and we took a ride on an elephant, which gave us great opportunities to view rhinos. Our main activity was going on game drives twice... More

I spent two nights here as part of a tour of Assam. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, with attentive staff. I have never seen so many rhinos in such a relatively small area, but sadly no tigers. Plenty of activities and opportunities to explore the grounds and river bank.

When else can you stay where an elephant walks by your door and you can feed it bananas? Lodges are separate and elevated up; chairs underneath; views of the rice paddy garden or the Diphlu river. We had goats weed-eating around the buildings, and an elephant walked right by our door to eat in the drainage behind a side building.... More

We spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed this lodge. The service was outstanding and we found everyone at the lodge to be helpful and attentive. Our guide on the game drives was excellent - knowledgeable, a good spotter and willing to cater to our interests. The stilted chalets are large and comfortable and even have a heater that was... We stayed here as part of a trip organised by Assam Bengal Navigation, part of which was a river boat trip. We had two nights here. As others describe: the rooms are houses on stilts. The setting is tranquil and rural. Yes it is a 20 minute jeep drive to the main Kaziranga Park entrance, but only two minutes to... More
