Myself, husband and little boy (nearly 4 yrs) chose this b & b to stop for two nights en route to Scotland for a family holiday based on the reviews seen here. The Coach House is conveniently located about 300 yds off the A1 and Brownieside well signposted. The carparking is accessed by a small track to the right of... More

On arrival we were greeted by Tracey our hostess, who showed us or room and provided us with fresh milk and a piece of Ginger cake each. Our room was bright and clean with a view of the fields and sea in the distance. Although the hotel is close to the main A1 noise from the road was not noticeable... More

Stayed for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were warmly welcomed by Tracey, who seemed genuinely interested in what we'd been up to and was at hand with money off vouchers for excursions when able. The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with fruit juice, a large selection of cereals, a choice of cooked... More

Close to the A1; but far enough away that there is no road noise audible - in fact the property feels very rural. Well welcomed and well looked after - how many places offer ground coffee in the room for example??!! Breakfast was great for quality and quantity. Free wi-fi. Recommended.

Lovely historic building, where the accommodation has been brought right up to date by Neil and Tracey. We stayed in a spacious, well furnished family room, the children were treated like family members and loved the daily treats. It was great to be greeted with fresh milk and cookies after a day out in the beautiful surroundings. Great choice of... More

From the moment you arrive at this lovely little B&B you feel the natural warmth and atmosphere - there's no fuss or bother, just a friendly and relaxed welcome from Tracey and Neil. We stayed in the family room, with its high wooden beamed ceiling, very comfy bed with fresh, crisp linen, ample tea and fresh coffee complete with cafetiere... More

One of the very best bed and breakfasts. I have stayed at. Neil and Tracy Sprig made us very welcome . Very friendly and helpful. Just off the A 1 past Alnwick. Great base to see Northumberland. Great breakfast more than enough and very tasty . When we arrived on our first day there were fantastic home made cookies provided... More

Warm Welcome, lovely room, fresh milk and cake thoughtfully brought up to our room by Lisa. We had a delightfully peaceful nights sleep in the comfortable bed and woke refreshed. We were going sea fishing in Seahouses the next day and an early breakfast at 7.30 was no problem for this lovely couple. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. Would recommend... More

Our third stay at Coach House in their lovely family room. Breakfast was delicious with tasty local produce. Distant views of Dunstanburgh from our window. Great base to see Northumberland. Very handy for the A1 with no road noise.

We stayed here when we went to a friend's wedding recently and had a really nice stay. The owners are extremely friendly and helped our other friend's to locate a pair of cufflinks at the last minute. Fresh milk and cakes when we arrived and a lovely big breakfast in the morning. Not far from the local castle and only... More
