What can we say that we have not said before? The fact that we have just returned from our fifth stay at this hotel and have already booked for our sixth visit speaks volumes. Hotel owners Eric and Ozlem continue to provide an excellent standard of accommodation, service, comfort food and ambience. The hotel is situated in the tiny village of... More

In every aspect our stay was exceptional - from the well proportioned and tastefully decorated rooms, the beautiful quiet terraces, the extremely well chosen and eclectic music at meal times to the high quality of the food. The stars of the show have to be the host and hostess. Everything from organising of bus tickets from Istanbul to the negotiating... More

An ideal place to stay when visiting Gallipoli. The Belgian owner and his Turkish wife run an efficient and helpful guest house. The accommodation is excellent as is the food. For those interested in the battlefields Eric (the owner) is most knowledgeable and will steer you in the right direction. We stayed for 5 days and would definitely return

If you are not comfortable with animals, this is the wrong place for you. There are 3 large dogs that appear to have no kennel. I found the growling and dog fights very intimidating. I don't understand why they have no kennels. There is plenty of space. But to a dog owner, this probably seems fine. On a brighter note... More

As its name indicates, The Gallipoli House is well located for those wishing to tour the killing sites of this more-than-usually tragic battle. My wife and I were late contacting the Gallipoli Houses on one of our last nights in Turkey. Fortunately, we were able to book a room even though it was a second-floor walkup (I'd have preferred no... More

Three of us booked 2 rooms for 4 nights. We planned to tour the Gallipoli Peninsula concentrating on the battlefields of the ANZAC Campaign. Our hosts, Eric and Ozlem, had given us a great deal of relevant information in the months leading up to our trip and we arrived well prepared for our adventure. The rooms were exquisite - bright.... We were on a private tour and we came from Istanbul to the hotel. Roads were wonderful and the route was very scenic. I was so impressed with the Gallipoli Houses from the moment we arrived. My room was quaint and well appointed. The set menu was delightful as was breakfast. The rooms were clean and fresh. Good selection of... More

We drove from the Istanbul airport and were delighted with the countryside. Good roads and a relatively easy four hour drive. Eric, our host gave us the GPS coordinates and we had no trouble finding the guesthouses. We loved our room and the surrounding village. Friendly dogs and locals, munching cows and very peaceful. Since we didn't know what time... More

I was struggling to think of any criticisms of this place. One of our party didn't like his banana syllabub for dessert - but he doesn't like bananas anyway and the rest of us loved it - so that won't do. I did find one minor criticism (see below) but basically we loved this place and recommend it highly. We... More

This hotel was recommended to us by our travel agent back in Australia because it is centrally located to all the major historical WW1 battle sites on the Gallipoli peninsular. The hotel is in amongst a small cluster of buildings in a rural setting where only the noise of the nearby farm animals can be heard. The welcome we received... More
