We have just stayed at the Gallipoli Houses and we're thrilled with every aspect of our stay. The location for visiting the battlefields is perfect. You are right there. You are best to arrive in the afternoon from Istanbul amd stay overnight for an early start to your tour. You will be at all the sites within 10 mins and... More

Myself and seven friends stayed at Gallipoli Houses for two nights last week as part of a Gallipoli Battlefield trip. As with my last trip in 2011, the stay was absolutely perfect. Eric was the consummate owner, both helpful, professional and extremely courteous. The rooms were all clean and exceptionally comfortable, the food at breakfast and dinner simply sublime, and... From time to time you arrive at a hotel or villa and you know immediately that you are going to be able to relax and enjoy yourself and Gallipoli Houses is one of those places. The Peninsula in May is green and full of flowers and so the last kilometre or so leading to Kocadere starts the relaxation process, the... More

Large comfortable suites with stunning views across Turkish countryside. Delicious food prepared from scratch each day. Welcoming staff (and pets) and all at a very small price. A must stay if you're visiting the Gallipoli battlefields.

I have now stayed at Gallipoli Houses on about half a dozen occasions over the last 7 years while I have worked on the Anzac Battlefield. It has been great to see the changes that have occurred over that time as the gardens have developed, and the staff have grown into their duties. It's not a place for someone looking... More

My family and I stayed here in April and it was a fantastic place to stay. It was a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. It is situated in a small village with great views overlooking the national park. The boutique hotel is only a short drive from the Gallipoli battle sites and the hotel's accommodations were... I visited the Gallipoli Peninsula with my friends from New Zealand and Pennsylvania in October. We booked at The Gallipoli Houses after a strong recommendation from one of New Zealand's foremost military historians who has stayed with Eric and Ozlem many times. Nestled on the edge of the ANZAC battlefield in the village of Eceabat, The Gallipoli Houses is the... More

Sometimes in your life you find a hotel that just has "IT". The Gallipoli Houses is one such place. Perhaps it's a bit unfair to describe it as a hotel, it's much more than that. It's the sanctuary you return to each night whilst your head is full of the ghosts and images of those fateful months in 1915 when... More

Apologies for the delay in reviewing our stay here in July last year. Our stay at this beautiful, tucked away retreat truly made our trip to Turkey. It was the best dinner we had while travelling in Turkey and the breakfast was very tasty. The rooms were very comfy and well equipped. We enjoyed a bottle of wine sitting out... More

I've visited Gallipoli five times. For my 2010 and 2015 trips I stayed at "The Gallipoli Houses," in every way by far the best of the three places I've stayed. The hotel is ideally located to access all parts of the peninsula. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The menu is varied, the food is tasty and the... More
