Sometimes in your life you find a hotel that just has "IT". The Gallipoli Houses is one such place. Perhaps it's a bit unfair to describe it as a hotel, it's much more than that. It's the sanctuary you return to each night whilst your head is full of the ghosts and images of those fateful months in 1915 when... More

Apologies for the delay in reviewing our stay here in July last year. Our stay at this beautiful, tucked away retreat truly made our trip to Turkey. It was the best dinner we had while travelling in Turkey and the breakfast was very tasty. The rooms were very comfy and well equipped. We enjoyed a bottle of wine sitting out... More

I've visited Gallipoli five times. For my 2010 and 2015 trips I stayed at "The Gallipoli Houses," in every way by far the best of the three places I've stayed. The hotel is ideally located to access all parts of the peninsula. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. The menu is varied, the food is tasty and the... More

I last stayed at The Gallipoli Houses in 2010, and at that time I was overwhelmed by the way in which Eric and Ozlem had managed to combine peace and tranquillity with spaciousness and very modern comforts. Since then I have been trying hard to get back there, but without success until this spring, when with three friends, I spent... More

This hotel is the perfect base for exploring the Gallipoli battlefields. The rooms are large, tastefully decorated in rustic style with a patio, and excellent shower, and offer good value for money. In contrast to other reviewers here, we would not recommend the evening meal option. Our dinner was bland, luke-warm, and way overpriced for what it was. Perhaps the... More

We stayed at Gallipoli Houses on the night of 27 August 2014. Our room was rustic and a delight to stay in. The village of Kocadere is a rural village and is a real life rural experience with only approx. 50 residents in the village. Complete with sheep being herded through the village. Eric was a wonderful host and has... More

This was our 4th stay at The Gallipoli Houses and each time has been fantastic. Lovely, traditionally built rooms, spacious and comfortable, wonderful home-made food, local wines, amazing value for money, but above all Eric and Ozlem, superb hosts. Eric is a source of expertise and information which he freely and generously imparts and Ozlem is an excellent cook. You... More

Like virtually every other reviewer, I have nothing but raves for Gallipoli Houses and Eric and Ozlem. If you are serious about visiting the battlefields (particularly ANZAC), then there is no other place to stay. The accommodations are superb, as is the food (be sure to stay for dinners). The four nights we stayed there was the highlight of our... More
