We stayed here for 2 nights in September and couldn't fault the room or service. Eric is an extremely helpful and friendly host, who was very willing to share his knowledge of the battlefields and assist with maps and directions. We had a room on the top level (Alcitepe?) with a wonderful view of the countryside and lovely balcony to... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Gallipoli Houses in May 2011. Our room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The dining room was warm and inviting, and facilitated easy socialising with fellow guests. Eric and his lovely wife are delightful and well-informed hosts. I enjoyed the food and the relaxed atmosphere. Our terrace had beautiful views of... More

A fantastic base for exploring the peninsula. Lovely rooms, attentive staff and very good food and wine. Eric, the owner, was incredibly helpful in all aspects of our Gallipoli adventure. More

A superb hostelry for those wanting to visit the Gallipoli peninsula to witness everything it represents. Wonderful hosts (Eric and Ozlem) run a very comfortable and relaxing half board basis home at a very reasonable price (Istanbul included). Information available is second to none and all staff are very happy to assist when help is required. Food, drink, room and... More

We stayed one night and wished it had been longer. A drink in front of the fire before dinner, lots to read, a stylish room with a good bed and great duvet reminiscent of European hotels, good food and wine, a congenial host in Eric, WiFi, peaceful surroundings. This hotel is a find. I would certainly come back and stay... More

Tucked away within an old stone village, in striking distance of all the sights the Gallipo Peninsular has to offer, The Gallipoli Houses excel on every level. Aptly named, the accommodation, set in several 'houses' around a central square, is stylish, comfortable and full of attention to detail at every turn. Friendly staff, a pre dinner drink by the open... More

We stayed one night at this amazing hotel and really wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel team are friendly and knowledgeable about the war sites around it, the rooms are exceptional - clean and beautifully decorated and the roof terrace was a lovely surprise. The breakfast is exceptional. The owner provides driving instructions from istanbul - they are... More

This is a super little hotel, the owners could not be more helpful, even lending guide books and maps. The room was large, well equipped and overal not expensive. The only minor niggle was that they don't serve food on the weekend evenings- this is well publicised however, it's a bit of a haul out to find somewhere to eat... More

We were immediately attracted to Gallipoli Houses when we discovered the website and weren’t disappointed with our choice. Ozlem and Eric are wonderful hosts who can recharge your body and soul ready for another day exploring the tragic battlefields of the Gallipoli Peninsula. As with every holiday, time is the enemy and hopefully we will return to walk ANZAC and... More

We visited for 2 nights in early September and enjoyed our albeit short visit at the Gallipoli Houses. We had 1 1/2 days to visit the battlefields, cemeteries and memorials and it was a good introduction. The owner, Eric provided us with a guidebook and map of the peninsula that was invaluable. FYI, any guidebook you buy on Turkey will... More
