If you’re the kind of person that likes luxury accommodation then this is not the place for your – or even the town for you. This hotel is basic but it’s well located (we had a room that looked out over the water) and clean. It’s a very old hotel so it creaks, doors are a little crooked, bathrooms are... More

We stayed here as part of the RSL tour which was superb, however I can't say the same about this hotel! As it would be unfair to negatively review the tour, and our excellent guides, I have chosen to review the hotel separately. At first I didn't think the hotel was too bad - the view over the Narrows was... More

We stayed here for one night as part of the rsl Troy and Gallipoli package; their tours are reviewed separately. It's a basic hotel with no pretensions in an excellent location overlooking the Cannakale ferry. Fair enough, and we did not expect luxury. However, attention to small details would make such a difference: we had no bedside lamps, of the... More

We stayed here as part of a Gallipoli tour. Excellent location but that is about all. Leaking water from room above was not fixed despite repeated requests. They simply put a 10 litre paint bucket at the end of the bed. Asked repeatedly for extra towels, pillows & soaps each day. The shower was full of mildew and the shower... More

The Grand Eceabat hotel was very easy to get to from the bus stop. The stop is literally across the road. It is dated and a bit faded, but it was clean, the beds were comfortable, we had our own bathroom and all staff were super friendly and willing to help. We are a family of 5 and our room... More

There is by no means anything grand about this hotel. Although dated, it appeared to be well maintained. I stayed one night at a bargain price of $25 a night. My room was spacious and very clean, however the fridge and TV did not work. The wifi speed and coverage was poor. The hotel is located across from the ferry... More

We went on an Rsl tour of Gallipoli sites and this hotel is owned by the company. If you can do the tour and avoid the hotel, do it. The room was clean and basic. The carpet was threadbare. The bathroom was refurbished but no ventilation so you could see and smell the mould. All this would have been tolerable... More

Before you read my review go to 'Shebshop - Bargepole long enough.' 7 March 2013 review. Aside from being hysterically funny it is all true! This hotel is like something from an Eastern bloc country with food to match. A blob of tomato paste and last nights peas and strips of dubious looking processed meat mixed in mayonnaise! And extra... More

For a trip to Troia or the Gallipoli battlefields this is ideally located. But as a hotel it's down-at-heel, serving poor quality meals and urgently needing refurbishment. They provide slippers in the bedrooms, and they need to, given the state of the carpets. I didn't mind staying here as a base for a battlefield tour, but I'd not stay there... More

We did not choose this hotel as it was part of a package deal to visit Gallipoli. The breakfast was very limited and the dinner unappetising .... if you have a choice, choose elsewhere. The internet worked very spasmodically but I must say that the bed was fine. We had a room facing the port so unfortunately we had to... More
