The hotel is the main headquarter and transitpoint for RSL tours for the Gallipoli battlefields and Troy. The hotel is located on the Dardanelles just opposite the ferry port to Canakkale. There is a magnificent view from restaurant balcony on the 5th floor. The rooms are perfectly serviceable for the purposes of the tours but if you're the sort of... More

The hotel is very average, the food is very average and the location is good This is the closest place to stay for a Gallipoli day or a Troy day Not really great but the choice is small so best to head off across the water by ferry and stay at one of the hotels at Cannakale, good places to... Eceabat and Kilitbahir, opposite 'Chanak Kale' almost adjacent serve admirably the accessing of the Peninsula (Gallipoli). Eceabat (Grand), Hotel was formerly Eceabat Hotel and probably rightly so. Located next to the arrivals 'receptacle' crowded, clumsy and graceless. Not inordinately expensive and with a very mediocre breakfast. Rooms unduly small, basically air conditioned. You have to remove the chair in order... More

Please do not waste your precious time or money booking a room at this hotel. Awful, rundown room. Crappy bed with inferior mattress. Bathroom fittings falling apart. Noisy location opposite ferry terminal. Inedible food (a can of corn niblets mixed with tomato sauce is NOT a salad!!!). Tours of Gallipoli peninsula associated with this hotel (RSL Tours) are very good... More

This hotel is very old and awkwardly constructed. My room had an odd shape, the hallways were strange and the floor seemed uneven. With all these quirks, I still liked the hotel because it had character and personality. My bed was comfortable, the room was very clean, and the air-conditioner did a great job which was very key because of... More

We stayed here for a night(thankfully) only because the Gallipoli tour we booked with Turkish Travel Group (TTG) required us to stay here. The hotel is rundown. Carpets in the common stairway are dirty. Rooms are basic. The walls are stained and moldy. When we first opened the toilet door, we were greeted by sewage smell. There were flies in... More

Bets thing about this hotel is the location - at the waterfront & very close to the Gallipoli Monument & Battefield Enactments, with a good choice of eateries in the vicinity. The rooms are very basic - in mine the air-conditioning & TV was not functioning. Most guests are overnighters for the 2-day Troy & Gallipoli Tours from Istanbul. Staff... More

If you’re the kind of person that likes luxury accommodation then this is not the place for your – or even the town for you. This hotel is basic but it’s well located (we had a room that looked out over the water) and clean. It’s a very old hotel so it creaks, doors are a little crooked, bathrooms are... More

We stayed here as part of the RSL tour which was superb, however I can't say the same about this hotel! As it would be unfair to negatively review the tour, and our excellent guides, I have chosen to review the hotel separately. At first I didn't think the hotel was too bad - the view over the Narrows was... More

We stayed here for one night as part of the rsl Troy and Gallipoli package; their tours are reviewed separately. It's a basic hotel with no pretensions in an excellent location overlooking the Cannakale ferry. Fair enough, and we did not expect luxury. However, attention to small details would make such a difference: we had no bedside lamps, of the... More
