We chose this hotel for our overnight stay to break the 11 hour drive from Cherbourg to Avignon. We have two children under 4 so we had to pay for two connected rooms on the ground floor. I only used the hotel for sleeping. A stop-over between Cherbourg and Fréjus was needed, so I picked this hotel. The hotel's location near to the autoroute and roughly half-way, were the prime considerations. As good as last year.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant with excellent food which was good value. The staff really seem to enjoy their work and go out of their way to help the hotel is nicely laid out,and for a "stop-over" near to the motorway surely cannot be beaten - a very pleasant stay by any standards.

In a field near the motorway exit situated on its own parking lot. Standard rooms that were very ok. Restaurant was ok but I was so tired I cannot recall what I ate one week later. Very close to motorway and very clean. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. A pleasant, clean, attractive hotel. I only used the hotel for sleeping and breakfast. A stopover between Cherbourg and Fréjus was needed, so I picked this hotel. Good location just near the highway exit. Room a little too small but is the right price you pay for. Parking with a lot of space. Personnel very kind and gentle and speak easily English. Good cooking service but with low choices. Good vines choice.

Arriving at CDG airport after a long haul flight from Australia and picking up a Citroen lease car, we did not feel like driving much more than two hours to the south of France. We set the GPS to scenic and selected Avallon as a convenient first stop. Tripadvisor showed Ibis Avallon as a good hotel. We were not disappointed.... More
