We stayed at Hostal BuenViaje / Remedios for one night as we travelled around northern and central Cuba. It is truly a beautiful Casa and the host, Naty, was simply outstanding and so accommodating. The food was excellent and we enjoyed a truly delicious dinner and breakfast was also wonderful. We had a very enjoyable stay indeed!

I arrived a day late to Remedios & wish i was able to stay for the original 2 nights. Beautiful house, fantastic owners, best evening meal in Cuba. The courtyard is so so tranquil. You cant help but smile. Fab for riding over to Cayo Santa Maria in a 58 Chevy.... Beautiful quite town, which had run dry of beer...no... More

The owners are nice people. By far, here we found the greatest and deepest sense of family and the most abundant and delicious dinner during our trip in Cuba. It is a highly recommended place. Remedios itself is a quiet typical Cuban town, really really nice!!

Stayed two nights in Remedio, to visit the colonial town Remedios (by itself not worthing the detour, if you already visited trinidad, and are short on time. The church and main plaza are nice though), and as a base to visit Cayo Santa Maria. Lester and Naty are a gem of a persons. The rooms were great, and so was... More

We and our little boys really loved this place, it has an amazing patio full of plants and gekkos. The owners, Nati and Lester, are the most lovely persons and made us feel like at home. The food was also very nice, breakfast and dinner as well. They were also very helpful with advices for excursions and drivers. When we'll... More

When you want to go to Cuba or already are there don’t hestitate to visit LESTER and NATY in Remedios, a small and authentic town between Santa Clara and Cayo Santa Maria. Why? Meeting these kind, careful and heart-warming couple in their lovely colonial-style built hostal Buen Viaje will convince you to stay during your holidays with them and enjoy... More

In fact, probably better, which is amazing considering we thought Lester and Naty's was the best of our trip last year. Their hospitality is warm and genuine, the food amazing, the room spacious. In the last year they have continued to develop their courtyard to accommodate dining tables, so we enjoyed our dinner under the orange and mango trees. It... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the Buen Viaje Hostel, located in the city of San Juan de los Remedios, we rent two double rooms with air conditioning, comfortable beds and private bath. The guest can also enjoy furnished rooms to the colonial style, a fresh terrace with comfortable rocking-chairs, an inner garden, and a great courtyard with fruit trees. It maintains until today the high props of the wood ceilings, the austerity in the decoration and the natural light, which is complement with the necessary comfort and the familiar atmosphere in a balance of history and contemporaneity. The house is very advisable for those who look for proximity to the Central Park of the town, 150 meters from the same one; but simultaneously stillness and spacing of the noise of the traffic, the nightlife of the square, and the passers-by.¡IMPORTANT! ¿HOW TO FIND THE HOSTEL?Coming from Caibarien take the main street into Remedios. Keep right because street divides itself. When you see the church ¡¡WATCH OUT!! You are on A. del Rio. Andrés del Rio street is a different street. It is the next parallel street in the back of the church.Coming from Santa Clara you will need to take around the central park and find in the back of the second church Andres del Rio street. ¡¡WATCH OUT!! The hostel is located in Andres del Rio, not in A. del Rio street. ... more   less
