We are newlyweds and went to Italy for our honeymoon. After sightseeing thought it would be a good idea to spend two days near a beach to relax. I researched and found Santa Marinella close to the Termini (close in that its 45 min. train ride away). Hotel L'Isola came recommended on trip advisor so I booked through expedia. I... More

We headed down the coast from our previous 2 nights in Castiglione Della Pescaia to Santa Marinella. We arrived at L'Isola early morning, as expected our room wasnt ready for check in yet, but the guys at the desk helped us to get a parking spot right outside (free parking), and we headed off to explore. The town itself is... More

We arrived to Rome and drove straight here. Airport luggage delays and rental car delays were frustrating. After getting to drive through the country, you realized this was a hidden paradise. At the moment, the lonely planet book had nothing on this area but it's really a hidden gem. Staying here in Hotel L isola was part of our ability... More

This is our second stay at Hotel L'Isola. Both times we traveled from Denver through Heathrow to Rome and ended up in Santa Marinella after almost 11 hours of travel and several hours at Heathrow. This hotel is easily reachable form the Rome airport in less than 45 minutes. The hotel is not a luxury hotel but is more than... More

Located in a quaint square of Santa Marinella. Room was spacious and clean. Several places to eat close by. Small corner market available too. Easy walk to the private beach. Beautiful views!! Breakfast simple and European. Friendly and pleasant staff! Had problems with free wi-fi after second day, although I decided not an issue, so I didn't say anything. Could... More

Sea view definitely worth the climb up 38 stairs! Cases carried by really friendly and helpful staff though. We had a room with a double and single bed, both very comfy. Aircon worked well, mossie killer put in room for us to use and we had no problems with them (only saw 2 all week). Shower room basic but adequate... More

The hotel is about 40 minutes from Rome airport so an ideal transit point. It is situated in the middle of the town in a quiet Piazza which offered safe parking. The hotel was small and well run by friendly helpful staff and provided a good typical Italian breakfast. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, the town has little... More

I have to start saying that the staff is extremely friendly, you feel like being at home. The hotel is very clean and rooms are big enough. Nice Italian breakfast. 10 minutes walking distance from the train station and have some good options to have dinner next to the hotel. It is not a fancy place but definitely it's a... More

Stayed here when I went to see my grandmother as she lives in this town. Her apartment was too small for our family so I stayed at this hotel and absolutely loved it. The help at the front desk was very friendly and spoke good English. They helped me with my daily travels and told me about good restaurants. It... More

Cute little European hotel. Nice big veranda with a view of the water. Very nice people and a good breakfast - wonderful pastries. Also, a good restaurant next door. Enjoyed walking around the marina down the street.
