The woman who checked us in referred to the hotel as "paradise" and she was right on target. It is built into a hill (and the ride up is frightening), but everything about this place is charming. To get to our room we walked up a hill, through a gate, past a chicken coop (eggs for breakfast) and 3 peacocks,... More

Not only is the host a well-known Turkish writer, human rights activist and political commentator, Sevan Nisanyan is a visionary who worked to save and integrate three historic village houses into a lush hill-side boutique resort that also incorporates two elegant inns, a vast, rambling garden, pool, aviary, library, hamam, restaurant, all 'defended' by a guard tower. The hotel is... More

We just booked one night at Nisanyan as a convenient way to get to Ephesus. Turns out we would go back again in a heartbeat just to stay at Nisanyan! The place is quaint- a little idyll in the hills. It's all charm and attention to details. We stayed in one of the old houses and loved it. The cook... More

I stayed at this hotel in 2000 shortly after it opened when it was just about the only option in Sirince. Today there are numerous hotels to choose from but I can't recommend this one enough. For this stay I was in the inn, which has about 5 rooms, each of which is decorated it its own unique way but... More

stunning setting, eclectic and eccentric but absolutely charming and beautiful retreat. Peaceful and tranquil. A place to rest and recharge the soul as well as hike in the hills. Food was excellent and service superb. I would suggest staying more than one night!

Eccentric, yes, eclectic, definitely, unique, absolutely. Recommended? Utterly. There are houses in the village, cottages on the hill, guest houses spread over a wide area of this enchanting community. If you are mobility challenged, let them know, they can ferry you to most units. The drive to reception is not for the nervous driver and parking can be a challenge.... More

What a beautiful environment with meandering walkways and gurgling water features. We were in a little cottage beyond the pen which housed ducks, geese, peacocks, and chickens. Breakfast was served in a sweet little patio, while dinner was in a more formal terrace. There were indoor options too, but we never wanted to go inside. The room was no-frills. Clean... More

This hotel is a treasure in whole turkey. Stunning property, with views over Sirince. Restaurant is excellent and the hosts make sure one has a perfect time here. We did not have time for the hammam, but we visited and it looked very appealing. The whole propoerty has a unique sense of decor, in turkish country style. We stayed in... More

Reviewed Nisanyan once before, back in 2008, but stayed again for a couple of nights July 2014 and liked it even more. This time we had more 'de-luxe' rooms in the Tower House, close to the swimming pool and a short stroll to the breakfast place (excellent breakfast!). Still an ankle wrenching walk and descent to the main hotel but... More
