Scenic location, great for walking. More than adequate bedrooms but maid did not clean kitchenette area (has a fridge but take coffee, tea and washing up liquid) or the balcony (butts left by previous occupants). Stayed here as a family with two children (aged four and one) for a weeks holiday with Inghams. Fantastic hotel, beautifully clean, super food, really friendly and happy to help. We had a lovely room in the main hotel overlooking the Gaistal Valley. Unfortunately, when our loud neighbour was on his balcony it was if he was in our room! We booked an Inghams 'Lakes and Mountains' package through lastminute.com and got an excellent deal. Our transfer from Munich airport took about two hours and was a relaxing ride through villages and mountain scenery. First came to the Xander 12 years ago and vowed we would return one day. We requested a west facing balcony room which the excellent reception staff were happy to comply with and we had a wonderful view of the Hohe Munde mountain.
