Our recent week at this hotel was a most enjoyable experience. 10/15 minutes drive from Seefeld' a town which did not really appeal, this hotel is located inn the countryside surrounded by mountains. Plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. The latter on pretty level ground unless you want to be adventurous. Excellent food and ambience. We could have cooked... More

Nice typically Austrian hotel. We had a two bedroom family suite which also had a large dining area, kitchenette, lounge area and two bathrooms. There were six beds in all and plenty of space. There is a lovely indoor pool in the basement, plus sauna, gym and games room. Breakfasts are excellent with a wide selection from the buffet and... More

What a lovely hotel with such friendly staff. The rooms are lovely and large. We had a room the opposite side to the pool which doesnt have such a good view BUT as we had a scorcing week this side is in the shade in the afternoon so your room is much cooler to sleep. The church bells at 07.00... More

Just finished a week at Xander and loved it. The most comfortable bedding we have experienced in our travels, which was most welcome at the end of a hard day's mountain walking. The service is excellent and the food tasty and plentiful. Don't go here to lose weight - even walking 18km a day left me 3 kilos heavier! But... More

This is an excellent place to stay on a walking holiday. Firstly in terms of the rooms, the room which we rented for the week was very pleasurable - the beds were comfy, the view was splendid, and the temperature was right. We also had plenty of this room, although this may depend on what type of room you book.... More

We visited Hotel Xander in June, which is their quiet time, so from our point of view, a perfect time to visit! If you want to have peace and quiet, surrounded by beautiful scenery to explore on foot or bike, then this is the place for you. If you want night life or a late night at the bar, then... More

We stayed here on a Walking holiday in the mountains and our expectations were more than fulfilled, indeed we were positively over fulfilled with their great evening meals which meant even more strenuous exertion to burn it off! Situated in a delightful quiet hamlet we had a West facing mountain view room with a small balcony and patio which was... More

We booked this with some reservations after reading previous reviews but found Xander to be a well-run and comfortable hotel. Of course you have to accept the Austrian approach to early dinner and don't expect to feel comfortable if you want to start dinner at 7.59pm - but come down at 7pm and the service is fine. Our waitress, Gabriella,... More

It is always interesting to see how a hotel performs when it is at maximum capacity. This hotel has responded with what strikes me as typical Austrian efficiency. However, this also means that the guests have to comply with the hotel's timings as to mealtimes etc. The only rather irritating issue here is that they do close the bar at... More

If you're going for cross country skiing, walking or cycling the SportHotel Xander is a good choice, if you don't want to be in a Village. The spa facilities are excellent, including 3 saunas, one a real Finnish type sauna with real Finnish temperature. The steam room is the real thing and the areas surrounding the spa are clean and...
