On a positive note, the Alex Beach Resort is in a great location just across the road from the beach and the surf club. It's just a short drive to get anywhere like Mooloolaba or Maroochydore shops too. The apartment room that we stayed in was good value - it was well supplied with features and cookware/cutlery etc for the... more

Having read previous reviews, I was a little dubious... expecting the worst I guess you could say. However, I was extremely happy with our stay and we are already planning our next trip! We travelled with our three children (11, 5 and 2.5) and we hardly saw the eldest two - they were in the pool area almost the entire... more

We stayed at Breakfree Alex Beach Resort in Nov 08. When making the reservation we had a particular request for a certain type of room, and were told they could make no guarantees. However when we explained our sons' special needs they still would not guarantee as that is their policy but the very helpful lady at Reception gave us... more

We stayed for a week during February. Upon arrival we were a little dissapointed as the rooms were smaller than other resorts we have stayed in and they are beginning to show their age and could do with a revamp. After the initial dissapointment we hit the pools which were fantastic. Having two young children (4 & 2) the pools... more

We stayed at the Alexandra beach resort for four nights over a weekend for a wedding we were attending at buderim. The rooms here are nice with kitchen and amenities really helpful - we didn't cook anything but if we were here longer we definitely would have used it. The TV is simple - no dvd players here which is... more

We stayed here two years previous but in a one bedroom. After a fantastic stay we stayed again in a 2 bedroom. Our children were 4 and 18 months. Two pools were heated and the two spas. We loved that it had its own pools/playground/bbqs and was handy to the Sunshine plaza, beach, aquarium and local eateries. Some of the... more

The resort itself was very nice and the pools and spas were fantastic. The problem is the rude, unhelpful staff. We stayed for two nights and on the second night came home in the evening to find that our room keys did not work. There was nobody at reception, so I phoned the resort. I was informed that someone would... more

BEWARE!! This place has the worst customer service i have ever come across, and we dont expect much from an apartment based resort anyway. Booking made 6 months in advance and included christmas day. Asked them to call when they knew the prices for their xmas lunch (restauant within the resort). We called every month or so, and were promised... more
