Restaurant Chino is delicious! I visit here every time I come to Samana, which is every 2-3 months. The restaurant is spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating and the view can NOT be beat! The employees are friendly and the owner and his family are always on-site talking with the customers. I can't say enough great things about this... More

This is a review of the restaurant itself and not the hotel. As a restaurant it is not very good at all. We sat outside which provided a nice view, unfortunately they did not stop the construction they were doing so we could enjoy our meal, so it was a bit of a headache. The original inhabitants of Samana must... More

Located on a hill overlooking the bay of Samana this is a basic family run hotel.Offers wifi adequate restaurant and great outdoor balcony to enjoy the views. Great staging point to enjoy Samana and the off shore island beaches or just relax.

I've been here back in 2008 in my visit to samana. There wasn't many rooms and the rooms were kind of lacking in satisfaction. I didn't know if it felt like I was staying at a hotel. I came back to samana in 2014 and saw that they changed the place completely. Recent reviews were excellent compared to those before... More

El Chino makes sure you are satisfied while you stay with them. He constantly checks if everything is fine. Issues are solved promptly. My room had a good view of the bay. The bathroom was a little old fashion with a broken fossid. Price was ok. Breakfast was decent: boiled eggs, charckers, juice.

Easy to find, cause of its huge sign, Restaurant Chino is up in a hill with great view overt the little islands in front of Samana and its bridges. Price is correct, food is good, but not refined, and portions are huge, we order a plate per person and ended having enough to feed the restaurant, lol.

Beautiful view of Samana city bay on top of the hill. good parking and relaxed environment. Eggrolls and mixed chofan are large size and great flavor. Fish croquettes are tasty and fresh and sweet and sour pork. coconut sweet paste is a must have. Prices are very good.

I wish I could have found this hotel earlier. We arrived at Samana and started looking for small hotels, but none made us stay. After two hours of looking for the right hotel to rest and accommodate our belongings, we found this hotel up in a hill with views towards the bay. Once we got there, we were amazed by... More

After carefully looking through out many booking agencies. I decided to contact hotel and restaurant chino in samana, and I have to say I was very satified with the way they arranged my stay.. We were in town for a week and we picked the right spot. The best view of the bay. A excellent experience, the hotel was very... More

The GOOD: This hotel sits at the top of a hill overlooking the malecon of Samana. My room had a balcony with rocking chairs from which I could see the water, a bridge and the city. Pretty clean and comfortable. The TOLERABLE(disclaimer:I do not consider myself high maintenance) :Some liizard-like reptiles made their way into my room. They were doing... More
