The hotel looks nice from the outside and has a good location. However, the service needs to be improved. The front desk people do not look nor act professional. They do not greet hotel guests. Breakfast is supposed to be served at 7 am but the doors are open only at 7:10 or later. Once you are inside area, you... More

I stayed here for 1 week in October of 2014. This hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to restaurants and local sites. It is easy to get a pedi-cab or taxi. It is also very close to a laundry. The hotel staff were all very pleasent and helpful. The wifi worked very well in the lobby and the upper... More

I have stayed here a few times since the 2013 Typhoon. The hotel rooms are basically clean and serviceable but basic. The good rooms have AC , hot water and cable TV which is a plus. The largest rooms are like a small apartment and in fact too much unless you bring the family or plan on using it as... More

Stayed a couple nights here on a return trip to Tacloban. Great hotel, very clean, comfortable beds, good shower...highly recommend this place! It is centrally located in Tacloban so it is convenient to get around. One thing to note is that they don't take credit card so have some cash on hand. I think it was around $70USD per night.... As other travelers have noted, Tacloban is still trying to rebuild after last year's flattening by tropical cyclone Haiyan/Yolanda. This means that hotel rooms are hard to find in the city, and those you find may not be all that wonderful. That being said, we stayed overnight at Rosvenil due to an early flight from Tacloban airport the next morning.... More

Was in Tacloban recently for a relief mission and stayed at Rosvenil for 9 days. If you just need a place to sleep and have a shower , then thats fine. There is nothing else thats offered. And I mean nothing. Asked for a plaster or band aid as they call them there, they did not have a first aid... More

Rosevinel Pension is one of only a very few hotels operating after Typhoon Yolanda flattened much of Tacloban. Under the circumstances, one can't ask for much. I was extremey happy to have a relatively clean room, clean sheets(!) and electricity (thanks to their private generator). The place is still recovering from nearly two meters of water from the storm surge... More

I think the correct spelling here is Rosvenil Pension. Either way this might be the best stay in Tacloban City. It is very affordable and comfortable. Yes it is a budget place but that does not mean it is not clean and comfortable. They are even doing construction on more units. They said due to open by the end of... More

One can easily overlook this place. I discovered this pensionne on the Web, while looking for a cheap place to stay in Tacloban for a business trip. Yes it's cheap, with a single room less than 1 thousand bucks. The front of the inn is an old house, where the registration counter is. There are also a couple of old... More

I booked into one of the matrimonial rooms, for just under 1000 pes. it's quite OK ! Staff not exvessively friendly but the place seems well run and has a pleasant atmosphere. There's a new wing under construction and a small restaurant next door. All in all,a good choice.
