We booked into this hotel via a family member who lives locally because they do not take online bookings. We had to pay cash up front, now I know why. I booked a bungalow with a kitchen because I had two small children with me. We arrived in the early evening and were given our keys. We found that the... More

We booked an event last week and a staff of leyte park gave us the rates for the function room and food. She gave us the following rates: php 5000 for the function room, php 100 for snacks and php 300 for lunch. Upon check out, we were disappointed to see the charges changed. The snack is php 150 and... I stopped here briefly with my friend whilst waiting for a flight to Manila. The reception staff seemed ok. We just wanted to eat and rest after a 3 hour journey crammed into a minibus from Sogod. We went to sit outside at the Verandah Cafe. The view over the bay was very nice. No one bothered to serve us.... More

Cracked paint... Rusty sink and shower faucets... Creaking wooden cabinets, doors, and bed frames... But the view of the Leyte-Samar strait is invaluable... Dining at Veranda or Working at your room's porch, Overlooking the strait and the Samar island on the horizon, Ah! so awesome!

The views of the bay and Samar across the water is majestic. You can't match the picturesque landscape seen from the hotel. That's part of its charm... On the downside, it's rundown. So I don't think the hype is there and the prices were high for a place that needs work. Idk if it's because it got hammered by Yolanda/Haiyan... More

I love the idea of a vintage hotel but as much as I want to love this hotel, I just can't. Right off the bat, I just want to say that the reason I'm giving it a poor rating and not terrible is because of the pool and some of their dishes. Also, please keep in mind that I stayed... More

The hotel is located outside of the city proper, public transport available is through jeepney or tricycle. The lobby is quite impressive, reception staff needs to smile more, they are accommodating though, we stayed during the visit of Pope Francis and the hotel is quite full. Service is quick especially when you call housekeeping. The telephone in the room is defective,... More

I stayed at the Leyte Park Resort Hotel this past September 2014 with a group. As a result of Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan last year which caused damage to this hotel, the hotel has had to refurbish and bring up the standards. My prior post noted that the hotel was falling into disarray; I am happy to report that all the rooms... More

The Leyte Park hotel is an emblem of dilapidated marcos era architecture, much like many of the other monuments in this otherwise sleepy little town. The style of service and food match the decor, run down, far below what shoulf expexted from a hotel of this size. The hotel stands off to the edge of the town, a poorly realised fantasy... More

I used to stay here every time I came but it seems that with the typhoon and NGO's taking up residence, the cost of a room doubled as did the price of the breakfast and no pancakes. It just seems nasty that the hotel would increase its price to foreign aid agencies when they come to help the island. The... More
