The hotel is located outside of the city proper, public transport available is through jeepney or tricycle. The lobby is quite impressive, reception staff needs to smile more, they are accommodating though, we stayed during the visit of Pope Francis and the hotel is quite full. Service is quick especially when you call housekeeping. The telephone in the room is defective,... More

I stayed at the Leyte Park Resort Hotel this past September 2014 with a group. As a result of Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan last year which caused damage to this hotel, the hotel has had to refurbish and bring up the standards. My prior post noted that the hotel was falling into disarray; I am happy to report that all the rooms... More

The Leyte Park hotel is an emblem of dilapidated marcos era architecture, much like many of the other monuments in this otherwise sleepy little town. The style of service and food match the decor, run down, far below what shoulf expexted from a hotel of this size. The hotel stands off to the edge of the town, a poorly realised fantasy... More

I used to stay here every time I came but it seems that with the typhoon and NGO's taking up residence, the cost of a room doubled as did the price of the breakfast and no pancakes. It just seems nasty that the hotel would increase its price to foreign aid agencies when they come to help the island. The... More

Yes, this hotel might be a bit tired but after seeing the rest of Tacloban and the aftermath of the typhoon it's perfect for the needs of anyone visiting to do relief work. The rooms are basic but comfy with good TV. There is wifi in most rooms and the view is the best in Tacloban by far. The staff... More

We stayed at Leyte Park Hotel while helping out at the nearby center for typhoon-stricken victims. There were 5 - 8 of us in the group and throughout our stay, I saw several groups checking in and out -- the hotel must be making serious money from volunteers coming from all over the world. What is sad though is that... More

Lovely views. Be prepared for Mosquitos. No nets over beds. No protection available from the hotel. They would benefit from a small onsite shop as I had to take a taxi some distance to find one. Food is not bad. Entertainment not bad. Would benefit from wifi in rooms. All in all not bad, but I didn't feel that the... More

The staff of the hotel were extremely helpful. The rooms were nice and well kept. The restaurant was nice but a bit expensive ... we ate at the restaurant down the hill over the water. My wife loves squid and the offerings were excellent. The breakfasts were well done and always served hot. The hotel's proximity to government offices and... More

We went to Tacloban to do relief mission. One of the hotel i had stay was totally damage by typhoon Yolanda. Since most of the foreign relief agencies are base here. The group also book at this place. This hotel is really old. It needed general renovation. It's a waste because the location is really nice. Foods are ok, fresh.... More

As at just before Xmas, LP had rooms available unlike most places around Tacloban which were booked well into January due to the influx of aid agencies. We had a cottage which had running water (cold only like the rest of Tacloban right now), and generator running all day allowing aircon, needed more to keep the mosquitoes at bay rather... More
