I went to Tacloban with other volunteers to help in the recovery efforts after typhoon Yolanda hit the city. Welcome Home was well-recommended and it was the only hotel that was open after the typhoon. Although it was small, Welcome Home was built sturdily. The dorm rooms were decent and the beds were clean. The hot shower was okay. There... More

The pension is a bit outside the city centre, which is within walking distance. It is right across the street of the VanVan-busstop and has plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was not too big, not too small, with everything a traveller wants: a clean bed, working hot shower and a (noisy) airco. The rooms are not situated... More

I've stayed here with my husband and 2 siblings late last year and I can say that the time we were inside their dorm-type room (as we were out exploring the place most of the time) and using their facilities, can say it was worth the price we have paid -- P1000 per night for 4 pax -- not bad.... This is my first choice when staying in Tacloban. Basic clean room with fan for 300 pesos is about as good as you can expect in leyte. This pension is right next to the mini van stop so perfect for planning your next move on Leyte and for exploring Tacloban city

We stayed in this pensione for one night- we were 5 , all with individual beds, aircon and bath with one dog (they allowed!) For Php1250. Quite cheap. The bathroom was /really small/ and there were only 2 towels for the 5 of us. And only one socket available. There are stores in a few steps distance, and in the... More

I wanted to get a budget room but it was fully book on that day even the standard room. I end up with a suite that cost 800 pesos only. It was a big room, air-conditioned, 2 queen size beds, TV and has hot shower. The bath room was really small and I can barely move!

The only redeeming factor of this inn is its location, being right in front of duptours. There were small, non stinging insects on the bed on our first night. We requested to be transferred to another room on our second night, and we were disappointed yet again. The pillow sheets were very dirty with a moldy smell. We were too... More

When we went to Tacloban for my cousin's wedding he booked us in this hotel. They're rates are reasonable and the room's huge but the bathroom is small so every time my dad takes a shower he had a hard time since he's on the heavy side :). The place's location is nice. A lot of coffee shops, eateries, convenience... More

When we were in Tacloban we found it very hard to find accommodation that is clean and within a reasonable budget. We tried Hotel Alejandro but it was fully booked. A trike driver recommended Welcome Home Pensione. When we got there we were amazed by the signage and the reception area, it had a homey feel to it (as compared... More

The receptionist and guard were polite...trustworthy, ready to help...secured place...the room is neat and clean but i suggest the exclusive comfort room needs to be cleaned thoroughly...very convenient for traveller, so near to transport terminal...good for those who just need a brief place to stay to rest /overnight while in tacloban...with wifi too...no restaurant within the inn so you have...
