For 2 yrs. going back to ormoc we always chose this hotel. We love the ambiance, the relaxing atmosphere, but in the recent stay we had, it was terrible. Let's start in our room. The toilet was leaking, we reported it but no actions, I dont understand why the housekeeping don't notice it every time they clean that room. Holes... More

Compared to other resorts, in the Philippines, it is not the greatest. But, it is, by far, the best resort in Ormoc. It is not far from the ferry, so, it's convenient. It is on the ocean with a nice view, and they pool is great. They don't have a beach, but, a nice view. The rooms are so so.... More

Although the property is very good, much is left to be desired. The property is beautifully appointed with hardwood trim & floors that are rock solid. The grounds are lovely. The restaurant was good & the prices very fair. We stayed in the Presidential Suite the first night. The first thing you notice is how large & well-appointed the room... More

First time visit to this resort and I was thoroughly satisfied with the 2 days I stayed here. Beautiful on-the-water resort close to downtown Ormoc with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The site has a large swimming pool with restaurant and beach access. The site is still recovering from Typhoon Yolinda so the restaurant is slightly open aired---one... More

It was the nicest place in ormoc so i expected more. The staff really let the place down. The reception always seemed too distracted to help. We called reception, maintanance and found ourselfs calling multiple times to chase things up, sometimes they wouldnt answer. The tv chanels would change at random daily. The masseurs didnt know what they were doing... More

For a place that looks quite picturesque and has lovely old time facilities it really let itself down on service and many other areas. For the comparative price in the phillipines what they offered was a joke. The rooms were lovely with much bamboo furniture but so many problems from poorly trained and unenthusiastic staff. Found ourselves calling the front... More

Sabin is probably the best hotel in town. It has a pool, clean rooms, beside the beach, etc. However, as someone who is always mobile, what I am really looking for a good hotel is something that has a wifi aside from being clean and comfortable. This is already an internet era. Hotels should not be discarding their internet connection... More

I visited the Sabin a few months after Yolanda struck while on a relief trip. Despite the problems facing the island at the time, service was excellent, although the dining room is a little slow, and they rarely had the Western items on the menu. Roof repairs were ongoing, and cable tv service was out (as it was for the... More

I was pleasantly surprised this is actually a nice place. Typhoon yolanda damaged this resort just as it did the whole province. the good thing is they are already doing repairs. Based on the previous reviews the typhoon damage may have actually helped in upgrading the facilities since they have to renovate. I liked the rooms and the resto. they... More
