Yes the hotel needs an immediate upgrade. First is the room, the room is OK but the linens should be replace there are holes in it. Second the dining area, there are flies. The pool area was OK I really enjoyed swimming. The hotel as a whole its not actually that terrible.

If I look at the Sabin Resort from a different perspective two weeks ago since arriving here in Ormoc City, my review would have been troubled. My first impressions of the hotel were faulty - since its brisk recovery from Typhoon Yolanda, the Sabin Resort hotel has caught the eye of many visitors, both local and abroad. Yes, the prices... I realize that a typhoon hit here 7 months ago but the rooms are just shabby and in need of refurbishing a long time ago. I paid the same price I paid to stay in the Hilton which is truly 5 star, the bed linen on the rooms were full of holes and the service in the restaurant was very... More

It is the best hotel today in Ormoc City. The rooms were spacious but the blankets have seen better days. The room I stayed in had glass doors that opened directly into a porch that was beside the pool area. They have a very nice pool. The hotel is beside the sea and view from the hotel is magnificent. Try... More

I've been to the Philippines 4 times, and each time I've stayed for some period of time in this hotel. Simply put, it is my favorite hotel in the Philippines, and by far my favorite in Leyte. The hotel is constantly being upgraded. Since my first trip, they've added a restaurant, a 2nd floor expansion over the restaurant, and an... More

Actually the hotel is about a 10 minute trike ride outside of the center of the city. I stayed at Ormoc Villa Hotel also and Sabin is nicer. Sabin has suffered a good deal of damage from Typhoon Yolanda, and repairs are currently underway. Room is big, bathroom is big, and everything works. Water is not drinkable, so plan a... More

Cold San Miguel beer and a plate of calamari is the way to go! Dancing to the beat of pinoys drum is not so bad either:) Like to cha-cha-cha and slow dance? This is a cool place to hang out, and they accept major credit cards to settle your tab.

Is this hotel open? Is it operational? I have been trying to book a room for March 2014 via their website and even called the number provided many times to no avail. I can understand if they are closed for business because they sustained damage to their hotel due to typhoon Haiyan but at least post something on their website... More
