We stayed at El Cantil for 9 or so nights and did not want to leave. Remarkable land, people, food, lodging, everything was just amazing. I can't believe I was even there! The whales were giving birth while we were there and what an amazing site. I think about my experience there so often, I can't imagine that I will... More

Our stay in El Cantil was truly magical. My husband and I went there on honeymoon and we both fell in love with the place. We could not have asked for a better honeymoon. We wanted something extra special, something you don't get a chance to do everyday and we were not disappointed. We were blessed with wonderful weather, amazing... More

We went for my birthday to watch Wales and experience a real space of peace surrounded by rainforest. Everything exceeded our expectations! Great service, food and spaces make me recommend EL CANTIL as the best in Nuqui. By the way..They produce their own power with a small hydroelectric system.

We stayed at El Cantil for 4 nights in early August, 2014 as part of our honeymoon to Colombia. This was hands down the highlight of our trip, which also included Medellin and Cartagena. Highlights: -Total isolation - if you want to escape from the world, enjoy nature, and connect with other people, this is the place to do it... More

Put into context where you are going, a lodge on the edge of the forest next to the Pacific, miles away from anywhere so don't expect luxury. ( Chris O obviously hasn't stayed in other remote lodges round the world). No-one at the lodge speaks English but the owner's daughter-in-law flew out from Medellin with us and accompanied us on... I stayed with my parents and we can all certainly say it was a great experience. The hotel is in a great location right by the sea and next to a stream and a couple of small waterfalls. The rooms are nice clean and comfortable. There are plenty of very comfy common space and games available to use plus the... More

We stayed 4 nights in the El Cantil by the end of June. Mr. Poso, the general care taker, picked us up at the airport in time - but then we had to wait in a store for about 30 minutes because he needed to buy food. Then we were taken to the El Cantil by a 20 minutes calm... More

Professionally run eco lodge. Great food - prepared each day. Clean rooms with mosquito nets on each bed. The grounds are very well maintained. No electrical power to rooms but there is power in the common restaurant area. Filtered water supplied to each room however. The options that you can purchase are all good. You can also hire guides for... More

I didn't even know how much I needed to get healthy until I got here. This place glows with the loving care lavished on maintenance and management, until the glow just shines back at you. I felt en route to restoration after only one day. Sadly, that was all I could stay. Deciding to make this booking had me flummoxed:... More

This was our favourite place in Columbia. We were not sure what to expect as we saw the lodge on a programme called Wild Columbia and thought that looks great. It is a beautiful setting right on the beach and you can walk for miles and hardly ever see more than a handful of people. The jungle and these beautiful... More
