Just returned from a Shearings holiday there. A nice hotel but full of children so very noisy. Rooms acceptable but would have liked tea & coffee making facilities. Our room was at rear of hotel so only view we had was of the building across the road. We had no balcony. Food was excellent though you had to be quick... More

Just returned from a Shearings trip.. Some people on the trip had been to this hotel a few years ago and they noticed a big change. The hotel is family run but has now been handed over from the parents to the children. They seem to want to attract people with children. Many parts of the garden have been removed... More

Had a marvellous trip to Austria with Shearings and were based at The Schlosshotel Rosenberg. We used this as a base. The accommodation was first class and the food was five star. Service was absolutely fantastic and meals were well organised and of the highest quality. The hotel is set in the beautiful village Fieberbrunn. We went in June. The air... More

This is a lovely quirky hotel. I stay in a lot of hotels with work so am always on the lookout for ones that are individual or have a bit of character as so many chains are the same wherever you go. I booked it for a week’s skiing holiday because it looked like an interesting place to stay and... More

I believe the hotel is a converted castle and as such is a bit on the quirky side which we found appealing. Large, warm, comfy clean room. Bathroom could have done with modernising but it too was large and very clean. If I was being picky I could say the room would benefit from a kettle but it didn't really... More

The descriptions of the hotel already given are pretty accurate, and in the main we enjoyed our stay but had a few reservations about the hotel itself. Our bedroom, 109, is at the end of a winding corridor on the ground floor. The decor was a little tired, but the room was warm and clean and we had a bath... More

Me and my family spent 5 wonderful days in this beautiful and suggestive place where you will find warmth, a wonderful beauty center, good food, big and silent rooms well cleaned with a lot of beautiful places to visit around. Sara, Lele & Bea.

We arrived as part of a coach tour. The reception staff were pleasant & helpful. The cases were delivered to the room quite quickly. The bedroom was very clean & well appointed with amongst other things two large single beds with separate duvets pushed together. Something we expect in Europe. It was also warm. We had a flat screen TV.... More

Travelled with Shearings to Schlosshotel Rosenegg for Christmas. Travel was disrupted by a long delay at Dover due to the high winds which had a knock on effect getting there resulting in a longer than normal journey. However the journey was worth it. What a fabulous hotel steeped in history. The hotel consisted of four Schlosses which were linked by... More

We spent three days at the Rosenegg Hotel on a Shearings holiday - lovely room with views towards the mountains. Food was of a good standard (wonderful cheese board for 2 cheese lovers!). We were lucky to be on the first floor of the main building not too far from Reception. The hotel consists of four buildings (ie four castles... More
