We've just returned from a holiday at this hotel with Shearings. Perfect - couldn't fault it! The hotel is an old castle full of character and interest and our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The staff were always friendly and very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The village is within easy walking distance along riverside paths... More

We stopped off here for dinner on our way back to Waidring. Beautiful hotel, lovely venue. We had an absolutely fantastic "Texas Burger" which was huge! Filled with pulled pork and a great steak burger. Great service, staff couldn't do enough for us. Would visit again if we are ever about in the future.

We were disappointed, it is not a 4 * hotel. The castle looks great from the outside but inside it is hot and humid, breakfast room a stuffy place and rooms are outdated. Felt very 'crowded' with groups of tourists, long queues for food; it did not feel as a luxury place. But we were particularly disappointed by the food:... More

We were 23 all in all. Grandma and grandpa and then 5 more junior families with teenagers and younger children - 8 rooms, I think. Most of us had rooms on the same corridor so when we wanted the remaining familily members to be on the same corridor, this was arranged the following day, almost to perfection with one room... My husband and I spent 1 night at Schloss Rosenegg in July 2015. We were looking for an affordable overnight with breakfast located between Berchtesgaden and Kitzbühel hiking tracks. These were our requirements and the Schloss delivered that and so much more! First of all, the building itself is decorated in true castle style, with towers, armor, weapons and chandeliers.... Spent one week at this hotel, very quirky and as in my title it is certainly a maize, but overall we enjoyed our stay, the food was good, rooms quite large and adequate and the staff were excellent, an enjoyable stay at this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for a week as part of a Shearings Grand Tourer coach holiday to Austria. It's really unique, being a very old schloss (castle) converted to an hotel with lots of nooks, crannies, tunnels and the required creaky floors all combining to make you feel almost mediaeval yourself! We had room 107, with a balcony overlooking... More

A castle, successfully converted into a hotel. They have a hotel bar both in the hotel itself and in the annex. The bar in the annex pretends a western style; nice if you like it, but not for a quiet after dinner drink. Reception staff is very helpfull. Other members of the staff could be a little more attentive.

We started an arrangement here with lots of Dutch people and the hotel is really good: nice people, great rooms and even a better pool. We walked towards the Jakobskreuz and walked even further to the Pillersee, to find out that there are no busses on Ascension Day at all in Austria. There's not a lot to do in summer... More

Location of this hotel is perfect for skiing , walking, and a bit of shopping as just outside is the free bus stop to several sky resort, villages. The Castle(hotel) is run by friendly staff from the Manager to the maintenance man (fausto) always ready to help. The room was nice and very clean as was the rest of the... More
