Toilets, showers spotless. Quiet pub, older park, under 5 park both under trees so shady and dry. Our camping spot was on a slope though but no more than other sites. Lovely little shop, tourist information and only 30mins downhill walk to Bakewell. Bakewell has fab shops, park with water fountains. The bus back is useful with tired children.

The campsite is in a good location near to Bakewell and is just a short walk from the pretty village of Ashford. There are a good range of facilities including parks for children, a bar and a shop. Cleanliness was good but could have been better. Pitch sizes were spacious. The main two negatives about the site were the maurading... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as a family of 4 with 2 children under 5. The amenities made it sound perfect but it was the worst decision we have made when choosing campsites. First our allocated pitch (number 24) was not only too small due to the path cutting off most of the front, it also had a telegraph... More

Great views from the Hawthorn Rise area of the site and 3 good enclosed play areas for kids. Had some major problems getting pegs in and bent over 10.Some warning of this would have been helpful to us. Nice bar and some good local ales on offer. If you don't want to cook there are several takeaways that deliver to... More

We made our 2nd visit in August 2015 and again cannot fault this site. Great location and Bakewell and the hamlet of Ashford are in easy access. The pub on site serves great local beers. Kids play area is right next to the pubs outside seating area so you can relax whilst enjoying a drink. Showers are great as is... More

We have just got back from a week at greenhills, The welcome we got was fine from the staff until we complained, we asked on booking for 2 pitches adjacent to each other, but got put in 2 central pitches with a fence between, but the staff were adamant that because they were next to each other that we should... Camped at Greenhill's twice last summer and absolutely loved it! Absolutely gutted when I had to leave. Staff are amazing, so friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. They always made a big fuss of my dogs too and my dogs loved them! Campsite large, sprawling with beautiful views. Facilities spotless, shower blocks gorgeous, large, clean, warm, with free... More

This was one of our first places we ever camped at and it's certainly set the benchmark high against other campsites. Purely as this holiday park has a good mixture of everything, including fabulous walks all around. Facilities were clean, there's a little shop. Most importantly - we felt safe here - as in our group - we had two... More

Had a lovely stay here, facilities were excellent and very clean, had a little shop that sold everything you need plus a bar and children's play area. The grounds are well maintained. Bakewell is a 20 min walk if you want to venture out

Just got back from this campsite this weekend. We were told that the whole place was booked up that weekend and didn't we know about it! Pitches were crammed together with children running wild everywhere! The place was very clean and tidy. We felt that the toilet/shower block was maybe a little too small for everybody when the site is... More
