We hosted our daughters Wedding at Losehill House on the 10th December 2009. Our guests arrived from a Church ceremony and from the moment they stepped through the door at Losehill, we have had nothing but compliments - for Losehill, its location, atmosphere and staff. Our guests ranged from 5 months old to 90 years old, therefore we had a... more

Thank-you for your kind comments - it is so important to us that our wedding guests enjoy their special day at Losehill. Jules our wedding co-ordinator and Darren our Head Chef along with the entire team are so committed to making the day run well - so your recognition is much appreciated. Its also great fun to see the house...

We were welcomed, treated well, staff were friendly and helpful, the food was really good, Spa treatments, great views, relaxing time, breakfast to die for. I can't wait to return. What more can one ask for? Yes the service can be slow, but that was more than compensated for by the lovely atmosphere generated by the staff. My only real... more

We are very pleased that you enjoyed your Spa Break with us and thank you for your comments. With regards the coffee we have just expanded the range with our espresso machine and will be meeting with our local supplier who imports and blends for us, to review how things are going in view of feedback!

Although only a quick overnighter due to business in the area we found it to be above average in all aspects. Staff were polite quick and efficient. The facilities and rooms were clean and tidy. Food was good, I cannot see where anyone has any complaint definately better than just about anywhere I have been on business. more

We are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay here at Losehill on your business trip. We may be in the heart of the Peak National Park but we are well positioned for Sheffield and Manchester as well the the Peak towns and villages.

I had read some of the reviews on here before going on our weekend to the Peak District and found it hard to reconcile the odd bad review with the generally glowing ones. Our experience of Losehill was generally very good. We were in a family apartment which was clean, comfortable and had gorgeous views. We had dinner on both... more

Thank-you for your kind comments about the food and the staff- I'm really pleased that the boys enjoyed their stay in the Peak District and that you love the area so much! Regarding the missing sign the council have agreed to put back the 'tourist' sign after it was broken by a lorry!

Myself and partner stayed at Losehill House Hotel & Spa on Friday 30th Oct to Sunday 1st Nov for two nights. Our weekend was a bit of a getaway from the kids for a couple of nights so thought this would be an ideal 'Out of the way' sort of place but with the added extras of great accomodation, food... more

Thank-you for your review - your comments about the quality of the food are very much appeciated - we are also managing your concerns about the speed of the service, although freshly prepared food take time to preare delays are sometimes caused by us not being strict enough about booking dinner times! Nice to see that you enjoyed Ken at...

We used the restaurant at the hotel for a family celebration. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive. Highly recommended. Great location to explore the High Peak around Castleton. Not the easiest place to find but worth the effort. more

Life ticks over at a slower pace in the Peak District and that applies to this excellent hotel. The chef is excellent and the food is very good value. The wines are an interesting and good selection. Our room at the top had great views across the valley and was scrupulously clean. In actual fact we boiled under the 99TOG... more

Went to Lose Hill for my birthday with the family! Beautiful setting and very nice inside but the service was terrible and just so slow. The food was cold and not very much of it! Not so friendly staff and the meals came at all different times - some of us had finished our meal while one person in our... more

Dear Reviwer I am really sorry that you did not enjoy your birthday Sunday Lunch in the Orangery Restaurant yesterday. I am aware that there was a mistake with the vegetarian sausage and the childs sausage which will have led to the delay as the alternative dish had to be cooked. With regards to the speed of service - as...

We have just returned from a two-night stay at Losehill House, where we stayed to celebrate a 30th wedding anniversary. We found the hotel to be comfortable and welcoming, and the staff were attentive and pleasant throughout. The standard of food was consistently excellent, with one or two dishes, the confit of duck and a lemon tart, being outstanding. The... more

Losehill surpased our expectations. Our rooms were spacious and beautifully furnished and from every window there were stunning views across open fields and hills. The restaurant was of an excellent standard and made a perfect venue for both breakfast and evening meals. We found the staff friendly, professional and attentive at all times. Paul (owner) himself was present throughout the... more
