What a gem of a place. Nestled in the beautiful Hope Valley in the Peak District. We've just returned from a excellent couple of nights. The rooms are bright and airy with everything you'd expect from a quality hotel. The meals in the restaurant were superb and served by friendly and helpful staff. Taking advantage of the Spa facilities are... More

Lovely location, friendly staff, hot tub delightful! The room however was tired and the bath panel looked as though it had been subjected to some home DIY. It was also next to a Staff entrance, so we were woken at 6.20, by banging doors and different kinds of commotion . The real disappointment however was the evening 7 course taster... More

Room was good which got us of to a good start ,but dining experience was poor.we had email confirmation of our dinner reservation at 7 for 7.30pm , but when we arrived we were firmly told we were booked for 6 for 6.30.to cut a long story short we arrived on time and finished our meal at 9.45 pm due... My friend and I visited the Losehill on a Living Social coupon. The setting is divine - the scenery cannot be beaten. The greeting was a bit luke warm and half hearted and lacking in any helpfulness Told to sit in the lounge and fill out a form we were given an information sheet that was very thin on information.... We stayed at this hotel in July 15 and the rooms and facilities are good. However the staff friendliness and warmth could be better. The food portions were not generous and even cereals and fruits had to be ordered at breakfast- we are use to a help yourself buffet- it was ok but we would not stay again.

It is with regret that I write this review as I would like to keep it a secret. My wife and I had a two night stay and being a foody I would firstly like to pass my compliments to the chef. The evening meals were outstanding, fantastic flavours and the time and preparation put into each course was obvious,... More

A very good Hotel in the Derbyshire Peak district. Food was excellent and hotel was very clean. We stayed in room 12 which was a very good size and with good views to the surrounding fields. Would definitely return for another stay at this hotel

The hotel is unquestionably in a truly lovely spot in the Peak District hills. The restaurant food was good except for a veal main course that had no edible meat on the plate. We told the waitress who said she'd tell the chef and we were offered a glass of prosecco or some cheese...neither of which we took up or... More

Losehill is off the beaten track but once found, its setting would be hard to beat. Our accommodation was a suite of rooms, including two bedrooms,a sitting room and spacious bathroom. On our first night we enjoyed a seven course tasting menu in the restaurant which did not disappoint, delivered with friendly, professional and knowledgeable service. Breakfast and evening meal... Was a bit dubious coming here given the number of group on & living social deals out there!! However everything was fantastic! The orangery overlooks the beautiful hills so the setting is amazing. Everything we ate was delicious & the wine flight a bargain at £26 inc port, much cheaper than I've seen in similar restaurants. Will definitely return!
