Well, as with others, we were unsure what our stay would be like but we have to say that we had a wonderful trip to the Woodbine. Judith was lovely, helpful and chatty. Breakfast was great wiht a good choice of food and the rooms were lovely - we stayed in the King - large room with wooden floors and... More

If you are ever in or planning to visit Hope, near castleton in Derbyshire you could do worse than staying at the Woodbine cafe.It has a cafe as well as rooms available for b+b. The cafe is great...... really good food and friendly staff. The b+b next door is amasing. Judith who runs both is a lovely lady who will... More

Excellent breakfasts, facilities, and homely atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, after we didn't arrive until 10:30pm and she helped us with our luggage. The landlady also offered us a place to store our mountain bikes. The rooms are very nice, recently refurbished and modern. Loads of variety for breakfast, very nice full english or healthy cereals.... More

Was slightly apprehensive having read some of the previous reviews but, we had a lovely stay. Judith ,the owner was very friendly and we felt at home sharing her lounge one evening with a few glasses of wine. There was more than enough food at breakfast. I have never seen so many different types of cereals and teas on offer... More

Our party of four had rooms 4 and 5 with a shared bathroom on the landing. Both rooms had the lowest quality furniture and fittings. Room 5 was just big enough to squeeze in two beds.. To open the window you have to clamber over both beds; to open the chest of drawers you push the beds towards the door;... More

We spent a lovely couple of days at the woodbine cafe B&B. The owner made us feel extremely welcome on arrival, very friendly throughout our stay & made the most wonderful cooked breakfast to which you could help yourself & eat as much as you wanted. Extremely good value for money & our room was spotless. We will be going... More

I've read the reviews of The Woodbine Cafe with interest - it does seem that the landlady swings from extreme rudeness to extreme charm at the drop of a hat I used to visit the Woodbine frequently some years ago when I did a lot of cycling - and it was always one of my favourite cafes, but after my... Did Hungry Pete go to the wrong hotel? We've never stayed here before but were fitted in for a single night at the very last minute, told in advance about cash payment and all other conditions; were given a very nice room (the door was a litte stiff but that's why we have the ability to push), all service was... We were attending a wedding at a nearby hotel and stayed at the Woodbine for just one night. It was really lovely - we had an enormous double room with a view out over the gardens and countryside beyond. The room and bathroom were spotless. The owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome and the breakfast... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on our first ever 'walking break' with out the kids. ( I managed to persuade him that camping was out and B&B's were in - it worked!!) We stayed in room 7, at £99 for 2 nights mid week. The cleanliness of the room and ensuite were spot on. I loved... More
