Not good. Uninterested staff who might have been the owner. We only came in for tea and cake and were made to feel that we were taking up too much room and spending too little money. Mate came in and had a sausgae and tomato barm, but refused to have it when it came made with tinned tomatoes! The bread... More

The Woodbine used to be a regular stop on our rides round the Peak, but we've moved en masse to the Blue Apple just round the corner. The food at the Woodbine is very average e.g. mass produced white baps, fatty bacon and tinned tomatoes instead of fresh ones. The service is just really strange - sometimes borderline rude, but... exceptionally rude owner. We didn't stay, just wanted tea and food in the cafe. We will not be returning, and like many other reviewers find it difficult to understand why a cafe owner should have such a bad attitude to some customers. There are plenty of other good, friendly cafes in the area.

This is an excellent B&B - the rooms are modern and well decorated with all facilities en suite. The cottages have their own living room you can relax in, so is much like a holiday cottage, but with independent rooms. The breakfast was large and delicious with a wife buffet to choose from - much more like a hotel. You... More

My partner & I stayed here for the weekend and changed to this place after the first got our suspicions up that it was not going to be any good. Whilst Judith can be a little short, she is a lovely person who has seen her fair share of "guests!!". That said, breakfast was everything you'd want, the rooms (we... More

Friendly welcome, we were offered tea after being shown to our room (room 6) and took the landlady's sound advice as to which pub to eat at that evening. The room was newly decorated and had everything you needed, including a huge rainfall shower . Good selection for breakfast - self-service including fresh fruit salad, yogurt and all the usual... On first impression, the cafe had a good food selection - a place far from the truckers stop. BUT we were there yesterday morning for Sunday breakfast, ordered full English which comprised of pale bacon, 2 sausages, and very greasy eggs. I asked for a piece of toast 'to soak up the fat' but waiter says 'I will check with Cook',... More

We called into the cafe on a circular walk, sitting in the walled garden to the rear. We were surprised by how popular it appeared to be for cyclists, and a steady trade of walkers alike. The food was a real treat, having been in this area for holidaying it was the first time we enjoyed good quality and quantity... More

We called in here. Four adults and a dog for a coffee and cake. Lovely friendly café, the lady gave our dog a sausage! It was a wet day and loads of wet cyclists were enjoying the open fire. Recommend this cafe

I stayed there in a group of 4 people while working in Hope. Judith was welcoming and catered well to the groups needs. The place was comfy, warm and homely. Breakfast was good too with a good selection of hot and cold food.
