This was a super, very cheap hotel. We have stayed in much smarter places but this was far better for our needs. The bedroom was plenty large enough to accommodate the electric wheelchair and the door to the bathroom was also wide enough to get through easily. A lot of more expensive hotels say they are wheelchair friendly, but the... More

My husband and I spent two nights here and found it very pleasant. The owners were very friendly and accommodated our very late check in time. We were very grateful for that! The room was cosy and clean. The bed could've been a bit more comfortable, but all in all it was value for money. The wi-fi facilities were very... More

We stayed last night..A very last minute breakaway and how pleasantly surprised we were. We had a room in the barn conversions. Room 31..clean tidy with everything we needed and a super bathroom. The staff were very friendly helpful and down to earth. No airs and graces just decent hard working Derbyshire folk. The evening meal was bar food and... More

We stayed three nights in August. This was a last minute trip. On arrival we were greeted by the traffic being stopped and the cows being moooved from the field over the road into the farm adjacent to the hotel. Superb, We had arrived in rural Derbyshire, that's a genuine "superb" by the way, we loved it (both townies). The... More

We stayed last night, it's kind of remote but the people were friendly enough. Our room was small but comfy and clean, people have complained about beds, mattresses, towels all I can say is the linen was crisp , clean and fresh as was the room. The bathroom was small but it didn't bother us, we stayed in room number 5.... More

We booked this whilst attending an even in nearby Ashobourne. The hotel is easy to find but beware Apple Maps has the wrong location and will take you to about two miles closer to Ashbourne. The staff was very friendly and the Breakfast is good by hotel standards. The room was very tidy and clean. The only let down was... More

Booked last min for a few days away room was good for the price. Only complaint was no fresh towels left on day two. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast if I'm being picky could do with sweetener for coffee but as I say I'm being picky. Had a very nice stay and would book again but as I say just... More

We stayed here as we were visiting y not musical festival so this was the nearest hotel to the venue. The room was fine, location is Quite remote but in beautiful countryside. We asked for a taxi to take us to the festival but we were told there wouldn't be one however the owner said he would take us there... More

Very bad service and unhelpful. I asked service desk to call me a cab and they were confused about the companies. I had to educate them about their available local cab services. They stop serving food in the hotel at 8pm. The bedding was slightly dirty and not fresh. I do not think it is worth the price and will... More

Our bed linen is changed everytime the room is vacated, the staff are always on hand to be of assistance, they do not need educating. I do agree with you though that we stop serving meals at 8pm. More

Very welcoming and friendly staff, they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable which was with the use of a buy a gift voucher. Our double room was excellent with kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom. All the other facilities have been caringly refurbished to a high standard. Great access to Tissington Trail through the back garden. Also... More
