We were six men on a businessmeeting. As this was October and very off-season for both the town Fjällbacka and the hotel, everything was very quiet. I can very well imagine that noise from the many restaurants and loud music would be a problem in the summer, but not so now. I do believe we were the only guests in... More

Such a charming hotel! We had a room in the building across the street from the main hotel with an awesome view of the water. The hotel staff went out of their way to help us with all questions that we had and they were warm and welcoming. This charming town should not be missed!

A golden star to the nice girl in the reception, we felt very welcome and expected! But the hotel is quite worn out and a little "dirty" by now, it was nicer some years ago. It is a charming hotel with all these different theme-rooms and the location is right in the heart of Fjällbacka. But I do think it... More

We spent three nights here and couldn't be more pleased with the location - only hotel in town and in the center (walking distance) of everything such as the wharf, boat tours, Tourist Info guided tour, restaurants, bus stop. We took the train from Gothenberg, then bus 875 from the Tanum Station. Cost about $55 per person and took less... More

I ordered a burger twice and still went home hungry. The burger was luke warm/ cold the first time so I requested a reblast (It's not a great to eat cold meat), it came back a new burger, which was a good first impression, but it was also cold. Seems that they perhaps part cook everything and then give food... More

I recently stayed in this hotel as part of a deal with Inn Travel. My friend and I were upgraded to the Christopher Columbus suite which is also known as the bridal suite. It was on two floors and a bed was made up in the first room as we walked in the door. There were exotic rugs and cushions... More

We stayed here one night in the dark november. James Cook named the room, with different decor and terrace facing the sea. It was off-season so it was not fully booked, it was quiet and cozy. We ate a delicious lobster dinner in the restaurant Pub Galären. The restaurant belongs to the hotel but you have to go outside to... More

This is a small hotel situated in the small town of Fjällbacka. Its located close to the harbour where the boats leave for Väderöarna island and Valö island. Its also only a short walk from the busstation. The rooms all have names instead of room numbers. We stayed in the one called Yoko that is situated on the top floor... More

Stayed here one night. The hotel have very individual and exotic rooms. They have bar and restaurant and we had some seafood and hamburger. All to good liking. Breakfast served in an cosy environment where you can cook your own eggs. Hotel is recommended but book early as only few rooms.

Fjallbacka is a pretty small town. It is quiet and relaxed outside the season. We visited in November and it was a wonderful stay. We got a nice out-of-season-discount price as well. The Stora Hotellet is well maintained and the rooms are interesting. Our room had a spacious bed and very nice bathroom. Free Wi-Fi. The breakfast included all the... More
