This is, by far, the BEST nudist/naturist resort I've ever been to in all of Ontario! I stayed from July 11-18, 2014, pitched a tent and camped out near Jarvis Pond. Despite the mosquitoes, the whole experience was truly relaxing, unwinding and the amenities available are amazing! So much to do and see, very reasonable prices and you can even... More

My wife and I attended for the first time, first time at a naturist resort. We walked in and were met with an extremely nice and helpful staff member who walked us through everything. We rented one of the resorts "cozy cabins" and well worth it. Bedding, coffee maker and mini fridge all included. The grounds are amazing, the washroom,... More

We went on a day trip to Bare Oaks. It was our first visit to a nude resort/beach though my wife tans topless all the time when we are on vacation. It is a very comfortable environment and everyone is very friendly. There are many areas to relax but you may want to bring some insect repellent as the mosquitos... More

Felt shy, scared, and a little embarrassed at first being total nude in a very public setting. What I observed and felt :, was comfortable, respect.friendliness, liberated and empowed. I had a great time & got sunburned in places I never had before lol.

They have exceeded my expectations in the atmosphere, philosophy, location/amenities, cleanliness, friendliness and overall experience. I visited with my teenage children in the summer of 2013 and they were very happy that there were other kids their age there to play with and hang out, and, as a parent, I appreciated the very safe environment which the park provides. The... More

> I just returned home from my first visit To Bare Oaks, and I thought I would send a short note about my experience. > > I am a fairly recent naturist, having embraced naturism fairly late in life, and have only visited one other naturist/nudist resort. I was made to feel very comfortable from the moment I arrived, I... More

We came here for our wedding anniversary and we weren't sure "exactly" what to expect. This was our first naturist experience. We pulled in on the weekend of the HUGE annual naturist festival with no reservation. We didn't know when we were supposed to undress so while they were finding us a place to park on this insanely busy weekend... More

We stayed with you in August 2013. We checked in to the room in the afternoon and stayed through to the next day. We were newcomer's to Naturism. We wanted to thank you, your staff, and nudist members for making us feel welcome and for making our stay enjoyable and an experience that we will most certainly be repeating in... More

We were sceptical and shy the first time we came there. Within 15 minutes we felt comfortable and relaxed. People are very friendly and fun. This is definately one of the most memorable experiences. Prices are very cheap for people under 25, so if you are in that age category - do not hesitate ;)

As naturists, who live textile free as much as possible, we recently decided to visit Bare Oaks in order to both meet like- minded people and to support a local naturist venue. Families, from babies to grandparents, enjoyed the comfort of a safe, respectful community of friendly people. We enjoyed our veggie burgers and wine at the Bare Bistro, a... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park is a year-round naturist park near Toronto in Canada where the entire family can experience traditional naturist values in a modern setting. We are nestled among the natural wilderness of the Ontario Greenbelt and Oak Ridges Moraine. Our varied landscape includes open spaces, forests, ponds, streams and a small lake. We also have many recreational facilities. Our clubhouse provides year-round amenities including saunas and a whirlpool. Bare Oaks offers day-use memberships and seasonal campsites but also welcomes visitors and travellers. Some might use the terms nudist and nudism to describe us and what we do. But we prefer naturist and naturism because our creed is so much more than just taking your clothes off. It is a life philosophy with physical, psychological, environmental, social and moral benefits. We go beyond a mere recreational pursuit and promote ethical naturism. We endeavour to live a naturist life and nudity is key to body acceptance and an integral part of our naturist philosophy. As such, we are not clothing-optional. Clothing is worn only for protection. We give visitors a chance to adjust but everyone is expected make a decision as to whether they want to be naturists or not.Located between Toronto and the gateway to Ontario's cottage country, it is the perfect location to stay while visiting Toronto. A short drive south on Highway #404 gets you into Toronto in about 30 minutes. ... more   less
