Used this as a night away, but the main reason was for the Michelin Star food. We're Master Chef fans etc and this was the first Michelin experience for us. I enjoy cooking/eating good tasty food and we've enjoyed some good restaurants between us. We wanted to know if this type of food was as good as they describe. Firstly... More

My wife and I visited to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was of the highest possible standard. We did book one of the courtyard suites, as a treat, and this also lived up to our expectations. We have eaten in a number of Michelin starred establishments, including one in Berkshire... More

Great food and service, with an extensive wine selection along with traditional high quality pub beverage offering. Don't forget to check out the kitchen garden located over the stream behind the building. Bookings essential, and you will need to organise accommodation with them (expensive) or in one of the near by villages or Farm Stays.

We have had many good stays at the Yorke Arms over the years but our visit yesterday was the best yet. We took a midweek package with tasting menu and breakfast included. We stayed in the excellent Gouthwaite Suite which in our view is the best room in the old hotel, (we haven't yet experienced the new rooms). The food... More

It was my wife's birthday so we went to Ramsgill for the weekend - we didn't stay at the Yorke Arms it was a bit pricey but we did eat there and boy was it good. When I saw this restaurant on the TV it looked bigger than it actually is and I would describe it as grand with a... More

There is no doubt of the beauty of the location, the complete silence, and the wealth of things to do in this lovely area of Yorkshire. The hotel is famous, mainly for its food, with one Michelin star, and a reputation for using local meats and fish enlivened with a good deal of foraged herbs and berries. Hotel rooms have... More

Had the immense pleasure of staying here on a Saturday night with friends. Had a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the green. Not a large room, but very comfortable. Beautiful gardens, with an immaculate vegetable patch, where all the homegrown produce is grown for the table. Lovely sleep, followed by a fantastic cooked breakfast in the morning.... More

We have been meaning to try the Yorke Arms for a while and finally booked in for dinner last night. From the minute we stepped through the door service was immaculately attentive from a young but knowledgeable team who clearly enjoy their work. Whilst this is a grand old building, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The evening was started... More

Excellent room in the oldest part of the historic Inn and very peaceful the only criticism is it was very warm in the room even with the windows open. The decor and comfort make up for this. We stayed with a group of friends and the food was stunning too. It was an expensive treat but worth it. Located in... More
