Easy check in. Lovely reception staff. Good parking. Very clean, spacious rooms. Have stayed here twice now. We do a lot of shopping at lakeside shopping centre-joondalup (which is around the corner from this hotel) Value for money, was very happy with this hotel.

Credit to one of the managers (Martin Charisse) who made our stay a marvellous experience especially that we had just made the big move from Europe to Australia. (I hope I've got her name right) Martin was very helpful in every possible way she could. Martin was always ready to assist, and help us for anything, even if that meant... More

Perth is very expensive when it comes to accommodation. Usually I have just go along with the exorbitant hotel charges but fortunately this trip most of my time was in the northern suburbs of Perth. The Joondalup City Hotel is handily placed just off the main highway going north. It is quiet and serves a good meal. There is room... More

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a close friends wedding. Although, pretty well located, nicely staffed and cleanly presented- we were left with some disappointments. The lamp shades were torn, the blanket on the bed was hardly a blanket at all, lumpy pillows and walls/roofing so thin you could hear the people above you going to the... More

We spent just the one night in this hotel. Basically every thing was clean. The bed was comfortable. The only downside was the knock and opening of the door by the cleaner at the door at 9.30, half a hour before checkout. We were almost caught in a compromising position.

Stayed for 2 nights on a recent trip and was very happy with the hotel and service. The rooms are very clean and tidy with black out curtains if you want a sleep in. Nice big shower and plenty of hot water. The hotel is only a short 5 minute stroll to a large shopping mall with some good eating... More

The hotel was easy to find, and in close proximity to shops and local pubs (5 min walk). Room was basic but had everything you would expect, iron, fridge, block out curtains, etc double bed was very comfy and the large shower was wonderful, hate those bath type showers! The room was quiet despite being on the road. I was... More

We started our new life in Australia on 31st August 2012, our first week was spent in the City Hotel, which we found to be very good for our requirements. The staff were all friendly and approachable giving valuable information about the local destinations we required when starting a new life.

I checked in in the middle of September. Spent about 2 weeks there. The ladies that work there are great. Ate dinner every night in the restaurant.Very accomodating to my gluten free diet. Food was very good. Walking distance to a beautiful regional park full of wildlife. Train just a few blocks away. I had nothing but a positive experience.... More

Nowhere on their website does it say reception shuts at 8pm so a business traveller from the East is in the dark. Hasty phone messages with a code for a box in the car park and a hard to hear phone number if it all goes wrong. It was pouring down when I arrived at 9pm and dark. I had... More
