One night stay in clean hotel. Views from the room looked over the river and the mountains. For a spring visit, the room was warmed by the ac but the bathroom was cold. Usual Albanian hotel style leaking shower tray resulted in a cold pool in the middle of the bathroom floor. The Wi-Fi was not working in my room... More

My family and I were there for a weekend in late November. The place was nite and clean, price very good. It had some small but very important problems. Breakfast was included in the price of the room but both days that we stayed at, it was never ready when we went to the caffé for it. The staff never... More

I was born and spent the first few years of my life in this town, but I now live in the United States. I was back in my hometown last summer; My wife and I decided to have our wedding here the traditional way. About 30 friends joined us from all over the globe and we all stayed at Hotel... More

Central location, breakfast on the beautiful patio facing the river. Friendly owners and staff. Our room had a great view on the river Vjosa, bathroom clean and freshly renovated. The shower was leaking, but never mind.

Great location and friendly staff. We stayed in a suite, which was really nice and spacious. Can't remember the name, but there is an excellent restaurant just across the road which is worth visiting.

The best thing about Hotel Alvero is the friendly and helpful family who run it, most of whom speak good English (and those that cant will always find someone who can if necessary). The hotel is modern and clean and situated in the centre of town. Contrary to other entries here the wiFi worked for me. There is an ATM... More

Permet is a good option for an overnight stop between Korca and Gjirokastra, although the roads from Korca were not always in good condition. Approaching Permet from the South, the scenery is pretty dramatic and a photo of this region is the cover of the Bradt guidebook. From our room we had a good view of the river which runs... More

We wanted to break up our drive from Korça to Gjirokastra & therefore spent a night in Permet. The Hotel Alvero was our choice based upon reviews & a web site. This is a modern building with little charm but funcional. It was nice to have an elevator for a change. The WiFi never worked but I guess the whole... More

Permet was the best surprise of our 2 week independent tour of Albania. It is a clean small town nestled in a beautiful valley with snow capped mountains around as a backdrop. The new and modern Alvero Hotel is right on the main square but is on the river side of the street. Out room in the back was super... More

I'm from America and was born in Albania; My mother wanted to show me the city of Permet (my grandmother's city) and I really expected very little from this city in the mountains and far less from the hotels there; BOY WAS I EVER WRONG. Hotel Alvero is very modern, small-ish rooms but perfect for the amount of time we... More
