We went with a group of girls for a weekend away and it was a blast! We're making up the creek an annual trip!

I first visited Up the Creek on my own, and I felt instantly at home. From the cozy living room kept toasty in the winter by a wood stove, to the convenience of a lovely little kitchen to cook in, to the generous hospitality of the owner, I couldn't have asked for more. I especially like that there are complimentary... More

I recently left a 30 year career in the hotel industry working in management positions with two luxury and ultra-luxury brands. My trip was to unwind and clear my head before beginning another career and the last thing that I wanted to do is stay in a hotel. It would link me back to my time as a road warrior... More

Clean, comfy, homey, quiet & convenient location, and the hammocks in the sun deck rock. Martin is helpful and friendly. The loaner bikes and the free (and good quality) tea & coffee are real treats. This B&B is lots of bang for your buck. Bunk beds are sturdy, so they don't shake when top sleeper climbs or you turn. Very... More

We started out thinking we might camp in the yard at Up the Creek, but it was way more fun - and more comfortable - staying inside. The private room was perfect with our five-year-old, who is already looking forward to next year when she will be 6 and old enough to sleep on the top bunk! Loved the hammocks,... More

I booked Up the Creek looking for affordable accommodation close to a great mountain biking area in Roberts Creek. It turned out to be much more than I anticipated. A friendly welcome from the great staff who were informative about the local attractions and where to go mountain biking, and even came to ride with me. The trails near Chris... More

This place is cozy, clean, convenient, friendly - delightful in every way. I stayed in the women's dorm. The bunks are small but comfortable for a reasonably sized person. The location is quiet and extraordinarily beautiful. It is about one mile from the famous Gumboot restaurant area with yummy natural/local/organic food and another 5 minutes walk takes you to the... Hey travelers, Up the Creek is a very cool and affordable place to stay at. Martin is a great host: he masters the difficult art of making you feel at home and at the same time he lets you be. A rare quality. We'll be back for sure!

Martin was a fantastic host; Very laid back and also very attentive. He was able to give us advice, directions and was very supportive of our (ambitious) goal to run the April Fools Half Marathon the morning after our stay. It's a short walk to a lovely restaurant (The Gumboot), the general store and to the coast where we saw... More

I came out to Roberts Creek to get away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Vancouver and it was exactly what I was after. Martin has kept Up the Creek very well maintained and it was a very friendly environment to step into. It was much like a family environment, which was nice, considering I've been away from mine...
