Wonderful skiing if the weather allows it. The hotel is bad. It needs many, many improvements... there´s no supermarkets or restaurants near to the hotel. The hotel is very dated and the service is low. The hotel could be so much more. Everything is very expensive.

Which is fine really, as I can't imagine many people visit unless they're planning to ski! The hotel is fairy basic, particularly the rooms, but there's a nice enough bar and actually quite a pleasant spa area. The attached restaurant is also of a very high quality: thanks to the chef, and Ellen the waitress :). Staff in general throughout... More

We spent a few days in this resort to go ski touring in the area. The hotel is quite old, and the lobby area is quite fresh and nice with a fireplace. The restaurant is quite good, both the al a carte menu with local dishes and the buffet we had as a part of a large group. The room... More

Had a great couple of days in Riksgransen. Friendly, helpful staff a highlight. Amazing Arctic beauty. The good skiers were enjoying heliskiing and off-piste, not to mention the annual extreme sports events like parachuting and icekiting. At the other end of the scale, my kids had never skied, but the staff ferried us to an excellent beginner's slope and kicked... More

Year in year out, I've been staying here numerous times. This property is one of my favorites. Come winter, I'll definitely be here. I haven't tried it out during summers but to those who love skiing, I'm pretty sure you'll be happy with what the slopes can offer you. Rooms are pretty cool and the daily breakfast is very much... Hotell Riksgransen is aimed at the skiier, the ski tourer and the adventurer who wants to spend his or her days outside exploring. As a result, the bedrooms are small but with plenty of storage which means that two can share without too much discomfort ... the beds are actually really comfy and the rooms are reasonably well soundproofed which... Riksgränsen is a skiing and hiking resort in the very north of Sweden. It is situated in the wilderness that is really amazing, some 150 kilometers from the nearest town in Sweden, Kiruna. Riksgränsen is THE place in Sweden for off-pist and heli-skiing. However, the ski area is pretty small and the lifts are antique. The ski area has a... More

This was certainly a time one of the best. Today, after many years, it is rundown, poorly maintained and unattractive. Shuttle bus stopped 200 meters from the hotel. We - a family of 4 adults and 3 small children - were carrying and lugging all our bags, skis, boots, helmets and sticks on an uphill slope. There was a guy... More

We stayed for 6 nights and had 3 days Heli skiing with super spring snow conditions, organized by mountain guide holidays in Riksgränsen. We were made very welcome by all staff in the hotel and had good food and service. Heli guides Andreas and christian plus the pilots were very professional. Shop and ski hire well equipped at reasonable prices... More

Great skiing, bad service. The room was a big downhill, but great nature and great skiing. The pool is a joke, the food is okay, at its best. Way to much money for tid stay. But the skiing was great, so if you are into skiing, it can be okay.
