First of all- yes it is "unnatural" to feed the dolphins. But the team was really friendly and made sure that no one touches the dolphins. We were lucky to be chosen to feed them and I was really fascinated by them. The explanation was very interesting and we saw several other animals at the beach and bay like pelicans,... More

Western Australia has some really interesting sights and Shark Bay has a few of them. Really enjoyed our 3 day visit to the Monkey Mia Resort. We particularly liked being in the chalets right on the sea front with the Emus walking past - and the lovely view. The dolphin experience was great and we also very much enjoyed the... More

Booked on the basis of the location, an amazing lunch and superb staff after being unable to reach our original destination due to Cyclone Olwyn. The meals are amazing and affordable. The staff; excellent, the accommodation right on the beach was extremely comfortable (I suffer arthritis in my spine and didn't wake up in pain). Three downsides. Dogs; children; some... More

Monkey Mia is still a great place to visit. Well run resort in middle of National Park (Tho I can not understand why dogs are allowed. Have visited and stayed many times and enjoy powered site with water views without having to pay the extra for a water front site. After a disappointing first visit to the renovated Boughshed restaurant... More

We stayed just one night at the resort and it was a highlight of our trip along the NW coast. The room was nice, and although superbly pricey it's because the place is totally self sufficient, it's the only thing around and is surrounded by wilderness which is worth the price. It also has everything you need (two restaurants, bbqs,... More

Great place. They do have the monopoly as the only place to stay. No eftpos in the resort due to cyclone. And no where to get cash unless you drove 28km back to denham. We weren't told this when we booked at the information Centre in denham. So limited on what we could do

Originally booked one night but shortly after arriving extended for another! Room was fantastic with a view over the beach and a king bed! Saw dolphins straight away while swimming at the beach! Food at the restaurant was great! Both dinner and breakfast ans the staff there went above and beyond! Will definatly come back one day! A very romantic... More

The first disappointment hit us on arrival. Although we had booked and prepaid for a "superior beach view" room on the resort’s web site, we were told that the "superior" room was an option only if available at arrival, and none were available. We were reimbursed the cost difference and downgraded to a "beach view" room with a patio looking... More

Stayed for 3 days in late February and was just blown away - I wish I had scheduled more time here. The dolphins are amazing, and after the tour buses and crowds leave in the morning they were still swimming in the shallow waters along the beach in the afternoon, just so cool. The room was very nice, staff very... More

Booked two nights here during our November journey travelling through Western Australia in a camper van. The dolphins were definitely the reason for coming here and the long road journey to arrive here was worth it. Lovely space allocated for our motor home, right along the front so a great sea view. We even had an emu visit us one... More
