Its location, looking out to the Gocta waterfall is fantastic. I think all the rooms have a view of the fall – ours was certainly spectacular looking out over the infinity pool. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfasts and dinners were OK – not a massive amount of choice but good value. The main reason for staying... More

The Gocta Andes Lodge is the perfect place to stay if you want to see and hike to the Gocta falls (779m high). All rooms have waterfalls views and are quite large and well equipped. It is recommended to stay at least 2 nights here so that you can spend a full day to hike towards the waterfalls but you... More

The lodge was fantastic. We spent 2 nights. The view of the waterfall was incredible, and we loved the small town. Our beautiful room faced the falls and was an upgraded room (requested and paid for in advance to celebrate our anniversary), with a balcony. We had dinner at the lodge (few options for meals otherwise). Food was very good.... More

Awesome place with an incredible view. They arranged for a taxi to pick us up at Pedro Ruiz where we arrived at 1:00 am. The food was good but the view. ...the view is a million dollar view. The guide Candelario was very friendly and knowledgeable.

We stayed three nights, and loved the place. The rooms were very good - spacious, clean and comfortable; (one was a suite, and that had massive space). The views were as shown in the photos, but even better in real life. The food was a very positive surprise. We came to Gocta from Pumarinri, one of their other lodges, where... More

I highly recommend this lodge. If you buy a package, you get more for your money. Aina, Helen, Roosevelt and the rest of the staff are very friendly. We took the three days, two nights package. The first tour included the Kuelap fortress, which takes you up to an altitude of 3000m. The car takes you until the museum and... More

We chose Gocta Lodge for its stunning location and the photos of the infinity pool overlooking the waterfall. We were not disappointed, it's perhaps even more stunning in real life. The hotel is clean and cosy without too many bells and whistles. From the door of the hotel you can walk to the waterfall, it's about an hour away. It's... More

Our trip to Gocta Lodge was intended to be a little break from our hectic journey around Peru. Fairly off the beaten track (we took a painful 10 hour bus ride from Tarapoto) Gocta was certainly a vacation from our vacation. The room was comfy, clean and modern. The view was ridiculous (in a good way). The staff were beyond... More

Once you pass the rustic village, Gotac Lodge just feels like an oasis. It has the best view of Gocta Falls and the surrounding mountains. There is a small pool, plenty of lounge chairs and even a family of illamas in the garden. It felt so relaxing, peaceful to getaway, no internet at the hotel, no TV and phone in... More

This lodge was voted one of the five hotels in Peru with the best views, and it certainly deserves it. It is a beautiful oasis in the boondocks, on a hill about 5 kilometres from the 3rd highest waterfall in the world. Every room has a perfect view of the waterfall. Considering its isolation, it is remarkably good quality and... More
