This is the place to stay if you wish to stay close to the start of the walk to the Gocta Falls. The rooms are pleasant and spacious and the views are excellent. There is an outdoor pool and a terrace to sit outside. Breakfast is satisfactory, but when we were there they had almost run out of evening meal... More

We drove for 8 hours from Tarapoto and it was worth it! A warm welcome on arrival, and clean comfortable and spacious rooms with spectacular viewsoverlooking the Falls. My room was ground floor with chairs to relax outside and enjoy the lovely garden. This is a place to escape to. The food was very pleasant and breakfast provided both hot... More

What a little treasure, every room has a stunning view across the garden, over the pool and on to Gocta Falls. The Lodge is small, rooms are a good size and lodge/gardens are well maintained. Good restaurant with buffet breakfast, plus varied menu for lunch/dinner and seating inside or on a terrace with the same view as the rooms. Very... More

Definitely a location that has a captured market if you are going to see the falls, but this lodge does seem to deliver. Went as part of as tour package so food included which may make a difference to costs. Great scenic location but a longish trip to get there. Rooms sizeable ,with most having great views. Service friendly and... More

Gocta Lodge has possibly one of the best situations in all of South America. Enviably positioned with front row views of the famous Gocta Falls, your jaw noticeably drops each morning on opening your curtains (every room has direct views of the falls, either from balconies or terraces) and walking down to the breakfast terrace. Take a plunge in the... More

The Gocta Falls Lodge must qualify as one of the most beautifully sited hotels in Peru, and possibly in South America. Even towards the end of the dry season (when I was staying) and the flow of water over the falls is reduced, the cascade, framed by sweeping cliffs, is an impressive sight. Standing at the bottom of the Falls... More

I enjoyed my stay here. The view of the Gocta Falls is wonderful. Our room was basic but large, clean and quite comfortable … and with a fabulous view. Of particular note was the shower, which was excellent. No quite so good were the nasty sachets of shampoo and ceiling mould. There’s a good-sized outdoor pool, which was bracing but... More

Views, swiming pool, location in front of the waterfall are perfect. Rooms are nice, big and comfortable. Restaurant is average and service in bar and restaurant could be better: too frequent mistaques and lack of experience and professionalism for a place like this,

relaxing out of the way hotel, situated at the base of the trail to the spectacular falls. Charge for use of their computer if it works. So out of the way. Very friendly. Falls were stunning altho the hike was quite something even using horses. Bring serious rain gear.

We visited Gocta Lodge as part of a trip around the peruvian high selva and a visit to the town of chachapoyas and the fortress of kuelap. The hotel has a breathtaking view over the hocta waterfall, a wonderful menu a la carte, great activities, excellent staff. We were extremely satisfied with our family trip
