This hotel is well situated not in the city (or village) centre. The place is quiet and in the evening you can really look at the stars. The room was fine, we just broke our key once but the guy at the reception gave us another one :-)

We've stayed at this hotel for one night during our exploration trip to the Colca Canyon. The rooms are rustic and had a lovely Peruvian set up. It was freezing cold at night but the room had a heater as well as electrical blankets which came in handy. The toilet area is a bit tiny and the water pressure was... More

The hotel is on the outside of town, so do not plan to walk anywhere. We fortunately stayed only one night and had a room with a nice view of the surroundings. But the construction of the hotel is poor, it is downright flimsy. If you have a room with another one above you, you will for sure hear every... More

The rooms are spacious with simple peruvian decor, the property is pretty with nice vegetation and attractive views. The saving grace of the property is that they provided a heater under the sheets. The property is a good 10 minute walk from town which may be a positive or negative depending on which you want. Cocoa tea is provided in... More

Pozo looks cool when you walk around the grounds. It overlooks Chivay. You will need to walk a fair amount to get back to the center of town, but its not too bad. The beds were a little stiff. Its gets very cold at night. The room was basically just outfitted with a space heater. There was no TV, no... More

This hotel is in a great location just outside the village of Chivay but easy walk. Great views and there are some very interesting ruins just up the hill. The hotel buildings have lots of charm and character. The problems are that this was the most expensive hotel in our five week stay and offered the worst breakfast. Stale bread... More

I only stayed here for one night. The hotel staff were not friendly or helpful and the guy working in the restaurant at breakfast time was rude, with the food pretty average. The room itself was good which is why I've rated this hotel as average. the room was large with a decent bathroom and large, comfortable bed. The view... More

We were the only ones staying in the hotel (mid-February 2015). It's not a bad experience, but overpriced (breakfast was lousy) and not in the town center. We loved Chivay -- the marketplace and plaza. But this was the wrong place to stay.

We stayed here for one night in January, 2015, with out adult daughter as part of a tour. It was very cold and wet and because the hotel is open air, we had to stay in our room because the common areas had no heat. Even though there was a fireplace, it was not lit. We had a heater in... More

This quaint hotel overlooks the Chivay township/surrounding mountains and is located over the river and up the hill. A very pleasant 15 minute walk from the main plaza. It has a prime position with very attentive, smiling staff. The rooms (make sure you get one with a view) are like lodges and have great showers, good lighting and our room... More
