We stayed here 2/3rd June this year, room was fine with a lovely man bringing hot water bottles but the dining room and bar were most uninviting and freezing cold, we all sat in outdoor hats and coats. Food also poor.

I stayed here just for one night as part of an organized Peru tour. It's about a 3 minutes walk to plaza de armas at Chivay town. It's nice,it's clean and the hotel staff is so helpfull. I would say the best place you can stay in Chivay; specially I was impressed with the hotel deco.

Rooms are in cottages and are quite comfortable. I had no problem with the temperature, but if you do there is a heater in the room and an extra blanket. These are very cute cottages - but cold at night in May. I do mean pull on the socks and gloves because the little space heater does nothing to warm up the rooms and the bathroom is perpetually cold. When looking at places to stay in chivay we really couldn't find many places we felt would be good quality and settled with casa andina. The accommodation is in rustic buildings set within pretty garden settings. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with a heater and plenty of hot water. Loved the little chalets. They're cold but the great turn-down service rectifies that when they deliver wine-bottle hot-water bottles, and switch the heaters on. Helpful reception when our lunches were not ordered and had problems with our bike hire. Best Casa Andina we stayed in throughout Peru.

I stayed here for two nights while visiting Colca Canyon. The room was fairly basic but clean. I found it very cold but when I complained was brought an electric heater very quickly.
