We had two rooms side-by-side in a cabin and this was great for a couple with older children or two couples. Rooms were spotless, gardens and grounds pleasant and restaurant/bar serviceable. Breakfast was dull. The overall feeling is one of disinterest, however. Noone seems to care that you are there! Could be the altitude? The hot water bottles in the...

It's hard to know what to expect way out of Arequippa. But this Casa Andina is a lovely, romantic spot with private bungalow's, a roaring fire, music, great breakfasts (and other buffets that I didn't have time to try) and even its own observatory. Unfortunately, I only had one night, but the hotel itself could be a destination. Incredibly clean...

we had a clean room, simple, but comfortable. I ate in the restaurant while my friend slept off her altitude sickness. Overall it was warm when we needed it, clean, and nice looking.

We upgraded to this hotel for our 2 day Colca Canyon tour, thinking that the Casa Andina brand would guarantee us a bit of comfort. Unfortunately, that didn't turn out to be the case. I wouldn't consider myself very picky or particular when it comes to hotels. All that I want is cleanliness, the usual amenities and helpful and effecient...

Stayed in Casa Andina for our Colca Canyon trip. Rooms are pleasantly decorated although bit dark. Warmed up nicely when we put the heaters on and we appreciated the gesture of the "warming bottles" when we got back at night. Dinner was good and was accompanied by entertainment. Breakfast was so-so.My only niggle is that I had chosen this hotel...

The Casa Andina Classic is part of a Peruvian owned near-luxury hotel chain. They have fancier ones than this scattered around Peru, but this is a great place to stay in Chivay. And if you are going to see condors - an outstanding lifetime event - you are staying in Chivay (there are no options). With those givens I wholeheartedly...

The hotel is well located, just a few blocks away from Plaza de armas.
The lobby has a computer qith free use for clients 15min just to check your mail or so but with no privacy. Staff was fine with us but We speak spanish and demanded no help.
Room is not small but quite nice in space and furniture....

Staff were friendly but not overly helpful. Rooms are clean but small They are somewhat like cottages located off walking paths so there is a charm to the place. There is an astronomical observatory but absolutley not one hint about access or use. Chicay's small downtown square and local market are close by--got a lovely hand made Peruvian sweater there..but...

It was my 3rd time in the canyon, and first time there. The hotel is the best of all the ones I already tried, even if it is a bit more expensive. It worth the supplement. The only "problem" is the restaurant, which is quite expensive and during the dinner, the show proposed by the local is to long. But...
