what started as a three night break turned into a 4 night break due to flights and ferries being cancelled , had a very relaxing stay, back to basics of reading books and playing cards as couldn't get out much. very warm rooms, only needed to put heater on for 10 minutes to heat room up. Very clean and cosy.... More

Several reviewers have mentioned Samson the dog, and we met him too. Unfortunately there was another dog staying when we did and we watched the two of them bail up the other guests barking and growling. Then it happened to us too, with the visiting dog growling and Samson snapping at me.I am used to dogs and this was the... More

Thank you for your great ratings. I am truly sorry about the incident with Samson. I can understand you were concerned, not knowing the dogs well. Mela, the other dog, was only staying with me for 3 nights, while her owner was away and she is definitely a very yappy dog. This unfortunately wound Samson up and, as I tell... More

It began with the Dolphins escorting us across from the Mainland by Ferry and I knew I was headed somewhere special and I was definitely not disappointed. 5 days and nights staying at Manuka Lodge with host Toni and dog Samson. Fantastic self contained room with Awesome view over Shoal Bay where sleep is a natural thing. Toni catered for... More

We spent a lovely 4 nights at Manuka Lodge earlier this month with friends also staying in the room next door. Toni was a fantastic host - welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. Great peaceful location but walking distance to shop and café. Staying at Manuka Lodge contributed to a fantastic experience on... More

We spent 2 nights and found the unit to be comfortable and clean with a great view of the harbour. The host, Toni is very informative and helpful and makes you feel you can ask if you need further information. It is peaceful and you have all sorts of bird calls not heard on the mainland. Even saw Kaka feeding... More

I stayed at Manuka Lodge for two nights on a business trip and would highly recommend it to other travellers. The location is great, with a fantastic view of the bay from the window. The room was spacious, attractively decorated and furnished and comfortable. There were thoughtful touches such as a selection of magazines and books, which were much appreciated.... More

We spent 18 days at Manuka Lodge this past April. For the first week, the second unit was rented by our friends, who then had to return to Canada. We found the set-up ideal for two couples, as we shared many a meal on the balcony looking out across the bay, often with a gorgeous sunset that sent us running... More

Was just great: room is perfect, view is stunning and Toni a very kind and careful host and helped me organize the next steps after missing the ferry. Can only recommend staying at Manuka Lodge, it is peaceful and quiet but still close to a shop, restaurant and most importantly the beach.
