We recently had lunch here having been let down badly by the 'posh' place not too far away!! The fact that this obviously wasn't our first choice of place to eat made absolutely no difference to the Manager at the Angel. In fact she could not have been more helpful we landed there just before the full lunch menu was... More

A week before Christmas, 6 of us who had just done a 7 mile walk decided to have our group Christmas lunch at The Angel in Long Ashton. Unbelievably there seemed to be only one person on duty behind the bar serving all customers both drinks, taking their food orders and serving them! However, it all worked perfectly. Everyone enjoyed... More

Made to feel welcome. Lovely atmosphere in pub, loved the open fire in the bar. Rooms were very clean. Good facilities in room. Quite pricey for drinks Had breakfast next morning. Paid £5 for a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich. Lovely as it was did feel like the drinks, a bit pricey. However overall enjoyed my sraycand would... More

The staff where absolutely amazing. I had never been to Bristol before and they really helped me out to get me where I had to go. It was a lovely clean and well maintained pub,the room was lovely and the history behind it makes it even nicer. The only issue I had was, paying £70 a night for a "BED... More

I stayed here for one night, grabbing an evening meal and cooked breakfast the following day. The stay was very enjoyable - the pub has a lovely atmosphere and whilst it was pretty busy for a Monday night, the service was very quick. The food came in exceptionally large portions, was tasty and well cooked. The room was large, with... More

We stayed overnight before a day out in Bristol and it was excellent. Lovely old pub unspoiled by corporate themes. Very helpful staff, spotlessly clean and a nice meal and drinks. We enjoyed ourselves and had hope to add an additional night but it was fully booked which was a shame. We will go back. We like pubs with character.... More

Perfect location for us as we were at a wedding at Ashton Court Mansion nr Bristol - it is literally a 10 minute walk rather than a 20 min drive! The inn has 5 rooms - we took 4, one of which was a single. Unfortunately the single has an interconnecting door with the double which we didn't have, so... More

This was our first visit to The Angel Inn and certainly won't be our last. A wonderful, old building with a fascinating history, there is a good choice of home-cooked food at reasonable prices - our meals were excellent. Several real ales are also on offer. With very friendly bar staff and locals to boot, this hostelry comes highly recommended... More

£60 for all 5 rooms (even though one is a single bed with a pull out) but no breakfast included. Nicely decorated and great service but so overpriced in relation to other places I have stayed like this. Long Ashton is lovely and good proximity to the city centre

Sorry you felt our prices were too steep. In terms of breakfast being a separate charge we often have guests who have to leave early before breakfast is served. Rather than including breakfast in a slightly higher price, having guests pay for something they are unable to have, we feel it is fairer to keep the prices slightly lower and... More
