We found the room compact and clean, albeit a bit timeworn. The management and staff were very helpful and kind at every request. We needed a place to stay for a fairly lengthy stop and this place fit the bill. It's extremely conveniently located in a beautiful setting. We would stay there again.

Room was small and personally did not have a clean vibe to it. Nothing to write home about! For what you got it was definitely overpriced. Would not stay again. As others have mentioned the upside was 17 Restaurant across the street. Great food and staff. Made the stay easier to handle.

Would not stay here again - it was expensive (I stayed at good quality chain hotels for less on the same trip), the walls and blinds were filthy, and it just felt grimy. There was laminate on the floors instead of carpet, which was nice - I can't imagine how dirty the carpet would have been! There were other motels... More

This is a typical small town, budget-style motel. We stayed in "the best room" - room #28. Good points: The room was a nice size, bright and clean ... it smelled clean. It had a tub with shower, TV, custom controlled climate, mini-fridge and small one cup coffee maker. The bed was comfortable. The location, the last room on the... More

I wish we would have checked ratings prior to requesting a room. It was late and we were tired from traveling between Quebec and Sault Ste Marie. We had trouble getting in the door - the key didn't work very well. The floor between the beds had some black stains on the floor. The sofa in the room was SO... More

the moment we opened the door (which we had difficulty with the key) the smell was overbearing; I wanted to cry and leave, but the majority of my boyfriends family was staying there for a wedding so I was encouraged to stay. the smell in the room was of mold and old cigarettes. this room must of been a smoking... We had room 28, on the ground floor, looking over the lake and harbour. The room was small, with one double bed. A fridge and coffee maker were provided. An a/c unit was installed, but the filter was clogged and needed a lot of cleaning. The electrical safety of the room is dubious. The receptacles are old, worn and two... More

Good location on the river and near the lake and across the road from the downtown area. Small basic room, clean and comfortable and fine for a relaxing stop between Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto. Very friendly, helpful staff and nice walk across the lawn down to the river and lake.

Although the price was okay, I wouldn't think of staying there again. The hotel is a bit dated and needs an upgrade. Our room was very small. It had been painted but the door needed painting. Very noisy as well. Train came by at night and woke me up. You could also hear the people above you as they walked... More

Glad we decided on this motel over the other one in town. This place was right on the lake. Had some cool train tracks and a bridge right behind it. A scenic beach and peaceful park right outside your door. I always prefer this kind of motel where each room has an outside patio door opposed to an interior entrance... More
