We have just returned from a 2 week trip to Peru and stayed for 2 nights at Colca Lodge. We are a family of 4 and had a family room with 4 beds – two were upstairs and two were downstairs. We had a beautiful view of the canyon from our room and we thought the setting of the lodge... more

After bouncing over the rutted roads, it was a delight to arrive at Colca Lodge. We spent two nights there. The rooms are somewhat rustic (but not as rustic as we feared!) Hot water, space heater, and gorgous setting. The staff--from the front desk to the busboys--all very friendly and helpful. The hot springs felt great after a day of... more

Stayed for two nights while on a tour in the area. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and great accommodation. Hot springs were wonderful, my partner and I spent around 3 hours relaxing in one! Food really tasty and attractive loved my time here, views from the room were spectacular. more

Only stayed one night during a tour but highly recommended. A long, interesting road journey to it but worth it. Even though you are a captive audience the staff really try to impress. The rooms are simplistic modern, nice grounds with outdoor thermal pools and a great restaurant serving good food. more

Stayed here with husband two nights. Location superb. Pleased to say we had a room well away from the building works. Our room was comfortable except for the fact that the wooden floor had lifted and was quite dangerous. It was like a little speed hump right right across the middle of the floor from one side of the room... more

We spent two nights at the Colca Lodge and were impressed with it. The room was spacious,, clean but slightly rustic (not a bad thing) with a terrace with wonderful views over the river. The restaurant served excellent food with enough choice to keep a vegetarian happy (not always the case in hotels in Peru). The bar is really cosy... more

The setting is lovely. The hot pools very enjoyable - we spent an afternoon in them. The staff are friendly. Beware oif the building works - we were put in a room overlooking these and we asked to be moved - we were lucky that they could do that but someone must have got our room as they were full.... more

Hotel is in a beautiful--but secluded setting in Colca Canyon.Booked a suite with a fireplace(hotel has no heating system) It gets cold in the room by the late afternoon. While at dinner, the roof of our room caught fire from sparks from the chimney that landed on our reeded roof. Our bedroom was under that roof--Hotel staff was great --they retrieved... more

Colca Lodge is in the Colca Valley, not actually in the canyon. The Lodge is on many different levels. The bellhops were phenomenal the way they hefted suitcases up and down those hills! Meals were great. Ask about ordering from the menu if you do not want to wait for the buffet. Breakfast was also good, but the dining room... more

This was the best place that we stayed in Peru. We had two nights but would have liked more. The rooms are simple but clean & comfortable. The staff were all very friendly & helpful and food excellent. The best thing about the lodge is the location, set on the river with extensive views and hot springs to soak in.... more
