Stayed here during a motorcycle trip though Peru. Of all our hotels, this one had the nicest setting in a canyon with a large and very nice room and balcony with amazing views of the canyon and the night sky. Hot springs on site come with beverage service so enjoyed my wine sitting in a natural hot tub. Dinner in... More

When we arrived 3 of the 4 springs were closed, the only one open was the one with a roof over it so we could not see any stars in the night. Since there is nothing to do in the neighborhood and not much in the hotel, be sure all the pools are open. Rooms are ok and clean, the... More

Horrible service and bad food. No brewed coffee in the morning. No help fixing toilet or getting room cleaned. Set menu with no other choices. No people stay here. It's a morgue! Had to get out! Beware of this hotel!!!

Stunning location, set right in the canyon with a river running past. It was possible to sit on the rocks in the river bed, which was beautifully peaceful. So, why the two star review, you ask? The rooms were terrible. Cold at night and damp - there was a strange small in the room when we entered, which we assumed... More

We planned to spend a night at El Refugio on our way to a 2 day Colca Canyon trek. However, we got sick the first night we were there so we ended up spending two nights and hanging out all day the first day. We were really glad we chose that place under the new circumstances! Its a little out... More

A splendid complex hidden away from the town along the river. Clean & basic rooms, friendly staff and one of the highlights has to be the open air hot bath out in the garden - a great way to chill after visiting the canyon. The restaurant menu is pretty basic, but since the town is not easy to access unless... More

Located at the Colca River with a beautiful view from the room to the canyon. Very good treat and attention from the staff. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet. Hot springs are amazing (the water is just perfect). Restaurant is limited, but good. Perfect location to rest before going to the "cruz del condor".

Rooms are large and comfortable. They have hot springs that you can soak in. In the correct season, you can see a roaring waterfall from corner of the terrace. The terrace has good views of the river and cliffs. Far from town but it has an in-house restaurant.

Stayed one night before viewing the condors and the canyon. I think we had the best room in the hotel, for three of us, split level and great views! Very comfortable bed and good quality linen. Hot spring baths were great. Did not have dinner so can't really comment on the food, though breakfast was ok.
