Olive Tree Hill was one of our absolute FAVORITE places we stayed on our Italian trip in July 2014! We were near the end of our trip and looked forward to being out of the big city but close enough to take the train in each day. We loved the experiences provided by Ivano & his family. Don't miss the... More

I keep going back to Zagarolo because it is an ideal place to use a base to visit Rome and surrounds and because Zagarolo is a lovely place. I spent a lot of time in the quaint little town of Zagarolo. The fact that I don't speak Italian and most people in Zagarolo don't speak English doesn't stop the shopkeepers... More

I would tell you about the delicious mystery starters at the long table under the Mulberry tree; or the secret cellar filled with flagons of chilled local wine; or, in the old medieval town of Zagorolo, the millennia-old purpose of the odd little rooms that jut out from and overhang sheer cliff faces... but you need to discover these things... Look no further if you're traveling to Rome! If you are interested in discovering the real, non-touristy Italy, stay here, especially if you are traveling with children. Terhi and Ivano are incredible, gracious and accommodating. They are quick to respond to questions as you plan your trip to Italy and even helped me understand the train schedule. Do not worry... We are sooo very happy that we were able to stay here. Our room was beautiful and Ivano and Terhi made us feel very welcome in their home. They made us breakfast and cappuccino every morning and then took us to the train station or anywhere we wanted to go. They helped us buy train tickets, helped us plan what... More

When I were searching for a place to stay for our Rome holiday, I Googled "Best Bed and Breakfast in Rome" and Olive Tree Hill came up first on the search results. Forum after forum recommended this quaint location. I emailed Ivano (who provided a very comprehensive reply,) and with the proximity to the train station being close by we... More

We started our trip to Italy with a night at Olive Tree Hill in Zagarolo. We should have spent much more time here. It is just 30 minutes outside Rome by train and very easy to get to. The property is very pretty and the rooms are nicely decorated. The best part was Ivano and Tehri, the owners. They made... More

We had a pleasant stay at Olive Tree Hill from 7th to 14th of November. The hectic tourist season was over, so we had our hosts Terhi and Ivano mostly to ourselves. Very nice people who made our stay something special. That Olive Tree Hill is located outside central Rome (about half an hour by train ) we saw as... More

We chose this B & B after reading reviews in trip advisor. Although difficult to find once there Tehri and Ivano make you very welcome. They both have a wealth of knowledge on Rome and surrounding areas. Do make use of all Ivano's suggestions! Breakfast is simple but adequate and the rooms clean and comfortable. All in all a pleasant... More

Terhi and Ivano have succeeded in establishing a serene get-away 30 minutes from the outskirts of Rome, yet is situated in the peaceful town of Zagarolo. Located amidst a beautiful olive grove, the Colle de Ulivi is in close proximity to the train station for commuting to Rome, yet far away from city noise and traffic. The breakfasts and evening...
