My husband and I and another couple decided to spend two nights at this Lodge while our cruise ship, the Seabourn Quest, was docked in Manaus. Our ship offered a very expensive one-night excursion, so we contacted Luciana at Amazonas by Viverde, a Manaus travel agency recommended by Cruise Critic, to explore the possibility of booking the Lodge on our... It's an amazing place along the Rio Nigro and in the forest. You will have your own bungalow inside the forest. Everything is very clean and confortable yet you can live an incredible experience. It si safe and the stuff is very helpful. Since you are along the Rio Nigro (with acid water) you won't have any mosquitos (that is... More

we did the three night stay and could not have asked for more. We loved the tours and the tour guides. Why would you want television when you are in the Amazon? And wifi is by the bar if you want it. The food was fine and the staff were absolutely fabulous. We loved the rusticness of it all! Stop... More

The lodge is located nicely on the river, which gives it a remote but safe feel. Its not too far from the city and the view is amazing. The accommodations are nice, they are set on a nice trail off into the jungle with lit pathways. The rooms are comfortable and very nice! The boat ride to the "Encontra das... More

We stayed three nights and had a good time overall. Some reviews here are a bit unrealistic. It may not be strictly 'eco', the power cuts out from time to time, the cottages are a bit basic, and (oh yes) the water pressure of the shower is low. BUT this is the Amazon Jungle, and not Disney - be ready... More

The lodge is on the tip of the Amazon. Although it is only accessible by boat, you are still close to town. You won't see many wild or exotic animals. As most other reviewers note, the highest concentration of animals is the monkey park near the lodge. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the monkeys in their somewhat natural habitat. If you're... More

Location: Its a boat ride across from the city of Manaus, so well located and close enough to the city that it doesn't feel too far. Its a nice large property spread over a well sized area, with their own piece of the amazon forest, which is a nice plus Amenities: Cottages are independent standing small units with 1-2 rooms.... The place is a good one we stayed there for almost 3 nights. The buffet is good. The tours get kind of little bored. Jungle walk is one of the best. Meeting of the rivers is a nice one but it is too tiring (8hrs in a boat). Other tours are not really great. Our guide Fransisco was a nice... More

Our family stayed at the lodge for 3 nights as part of a 3 weeks tour of Brazil. Good things first: Easy access from Manaus. Tour guides are knowledgeable. The rest: NOT an ECO lodge as its name leads you to believe. Lots of old concrete, needs a major renovation. no sign of recycling, trash spread out all over the... More

Comfortable rooms, with AC, hot water. As has been mentioned by one reviewer, soap bars are the only ones that are provided. Take shampoo and conditioner with you. Get used to not flushing the toilet tissue down the drain. The lunch and dinner they served always consisted of fresh fish (and other meats), salads, pasta and Rice. One major negative... More
