I read nothing but good reviews about Tupana Lodge and I must say, our guide Fabio, the family who runs the lodge and the chef and the food were all wonderful. That said, for the amount of money you spend- our room had cockroaches, the shower water is from the river so its impossible to shower and feel clean, we... More

My husband, father and friend went to the lodge in November... We absolutely loved the entire experience from the boat ride to the small village, the drive, and the next boat trip to the lodge. The service at the lodge was outstanding, the food was good, and we loved the activities including dolphins, caimans, hiking, visiting a local family, and... More

We choose this lodge as a mid-range establishment. It was very good and we were pleased with our five night stay. It is a boat ride across the white and black rivers from Manaus and then a couple of hours by car along mostly paved roads. A final short boat trip gets you to the lodge itself. We have a... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tupana for 5 days and 4 nights. We were impressed by the lodge which was clean and comfortable, the activities and most of all the friendly service and people. Our guide Kennedy spoke great english and made sure we had an amazing time and saw everything the amazon had to offer. We would love... More

the Amazon Tupana Lodge was an amazing please to be, very friendly and kind personal. The rooms where pretty good for jungle standards as was the food (breakfast, lunch and diner). We had an amazing guide (Kennedy) who told us all about the jungle and the animals living there. We've been there for 4 days/3nights and saw a lot of... More

My BoyFriend and I had recentently return from the Amazon and we can not take out of our memories the lovely days we stay at the Amazon Tupana Lodge. The place is fantastic!! All the meals were delicious - better than we had in Manaus! The animals all arround make the place a paradise; monkeys are so friendly and the... More

The location is great for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. The river view is great. Fishing for Piranha was great, we caught 15 fish and ate 4 for dinner, they tasted very good. The area is very peaceful and quiet. Do NOT go here if you want to see Caiman, Amazon dolphins, birds, or animal life. None are available at this... More

Transportation to/from hotel: The lodge uses a commercial van or car to a Manaus port, then a boat (with a brief stop at "Encontro das Aguas") to the other side of the river, then a minibus or van to another river (about 3 hours away), and finally a small canoe to the lodge. The minibus/van don't have air conditioning and... More

Tupana lodge was wonderful! It is far from Manaus and well worth the trip to get to this pristine isolation. The setting is really beautiful in the middle of a flooded forest. We swam everyday and even kayaked along with the dolphins in front of the lodge. There was a good combination of activities ( fishing, trekking, caiman spotting etc)... More
