A lovely set up in the country. Quiet and with great hosts. They helped us with a restaurant booking. There are a number of options nearby.Great breakfast and very comfortable. They seem to have plenty of custom.Being in the country is a nice change-especially for city based children. The hosts have great suggestions on local walks and sights, many not in the usual guidebooks.I... I am currently working out if Aberdeen and wanted somewhere quiet and comfortable to stay. I found this excellent B&B rather by chance, but Google search was a great help. Let me tell you, it is just fantastic - actually it's super fantastic! David and Michelle make you feel so welcome, in fact, from the first telephone call, I felt... More

This was truly an incredible stay, a great place with the perfect character. So much so that it felt like the hotels following were simply dry! David and Michelle are the perfect hosts and very friendly and helpful in many ways. They made us feel like we were at home. Vast breakfast options to choose from, big size room, clean... More

Chapel of Barras is just out of the small village of Kineff and situated on a working farm property set among rolling green hills. On arrival we were made very welcome by Michelle and David and shown to our light and bright accommodation for the night. A cup of tea and Michelle's delicious chocolate slice was a nice way to... David and Michelle are truly wonderful hosts because they love to make you feel welcome. We arrived at this stunning location just after New year and spent 2 days hiking and relaxing. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and snugly warm - it's the perfect place to return to after a frosty day on the hills! We'll definitely be back... More

This B&B is excellent! The setting is fantastic, with a quiet night guaranteed. The rooms are spotless and the beds very comfortable. The en-suite was of a good size with a great shower. The breakfast they serve is simply wonderful. The sausages and bacon are amazing, and a lovely touch is homemade bread and jam on offer. Michelle and Dave... More

After driving over from Fort William in the morning, we thought we would try Aberdeen for a B&B, worst time of the day to try and find anything in Aberdeen is between 4 pm and 6 pm place goes into gridlock, enough of that gripe, we continued south and eventually saw a sign to the Chapel of Barras Farm b&b.... Rooms are all newly redone and kept to an excellent standard. The rooms and setting themselves are lovely, but Michelle and Dave are what turn it into a really special place. Bringing out fresh coffee in the morning, homemade bread, local berries and eggs, they are great hosts. I was there with a group of family and friends for four... More

Chapel of Barras was "Wedding HQ" for my daughter's recent Stonehaven wedding. It could not have been more perfect. Dave and Michelle, first, are perfect hosts. Friendly, accommodating, and gracious. We were able to use the common area to pull together all the last-minute wedding items - filling the confetti cones, writing up the blackboard with the table plan, tying... More

Michelle and Dave built the B & B accommodation onto their farmhouse when they stopped getting up at 4 am to milk cows. It was therefore built for its purpose and this shows. Both hosts are very friendly and eager to make conversation. Michelle is a keen cook and baker. Each day of our stay there were home-made cakes in... More
