Decided to stay in Stonehaven at the last moment and at 10pm we were offered a lovely room at a much lower price than a similar nearby establishment. The busy and noisy pub has lots of atmosphere, plenty of room and a very good range of real ales, whiskies. etc. It serves until 12.30am and has outside seating as well... More

We have had lunch here a couple of times. The food here was great, with a bit different menu than the classic pub meal. Lovely selection of real ales and belgian beer. Great atmosphere, but a bit slow service. The children's menu was ok but a bit expensive.

But not on my plate. Excellent fish and chips, good service but for the price (£12+) we were surprised we didnae get any peas! We did give this feedback to the very pleasant waitress, so maybe they'll add some greenery for next time.

Called for a lunch sandwich after visiting nearby Dunnotter Castle. We had the Prawn and Avacado sandwich with salad. We we're able to sit outside in the sunshine and watch the world go by. Would do the same again, if in the area.

After visiting the castle, we retreated to the small port of Stonehaven for a pint on a sunny afternoon. Sharing stories and cheese and sausage with a lovely delicately hot mustard... just a wonderful time had by all.

We just stayed one night. The beer was exceptional, the food was great and the room lovely. We loved listening to the sound of the waves in the morning as the sun came up over a beautiful view. Breakfast was continental with a good array of cold meats, fruit, cheese, yoghurts and cereals. Hot toast was provided (at the 5... More

Stayed here for two nights whilst attending a sporting event in Aberdeen and Stonehaven. Arrived later than planned on the Friday night and one of the staff in the packed bar directed me up to the first floor restaurant for a friendly and casual check-in. The rooms are named after beers, which I didn't realise when I saw my room... More

We have visited the Marine a few times over about ten years, so I am confident that this review represents this hotel's consistent performance. There are four remarkable aspects to this place, the location, the warm welcome, the food and the selection and quality of beers on offer. The hotel is right in the middle of the harbour in Stonehaven,... More

Very good hotel in Stonehaven. Room was great with a good shower and a comfy bed. The food was excellent. I had crab to start and then the Ling. A fantastic range of beers some actually made here, I tried the 6 degrees North beer and it was very drinkable. Breakfast was a bit average, no cooked fry up! All... More
