My husband and I shared a succulent 3 lb lobster with grilled vegis. Friendly wait staff, an excellent chef and views that defy description made an intensely lovely evening. Our food was served gracefully and efficiently. If you are in Las Galeras, don't miss experiencing the meal, friendliness and view of El Cabito.

We just stopped in for drinks and the view, the trip is worth it, when you visit you will know what I am talking about. Just follow the signs and don't stop until you get there and don't doubt yourself just keep going, it's worth the trip and it's an adventure.

We stopped at this restaurant perched on the side of a cliff for lunch. The setting has a great view and the whole property is in a natural, unobtrusive setting. It melts in a magical way into the surrounding habitat. You can also stay there, which we did not do. Lots of paella on the menu, which it is known... More

We stayed in the treehouse at El Cabito for two days. Rosa and Tomeu are wonderful people. Just note that this is not a luxury hotel. It is wonderful property owned by two people who are living their lives to the fullest. They do their best to make you feel welcome, and I thought they did a terrific job. The... More

My rating above is for the Cabana me and a friend stayed in for 3 days. The cabana is cute and quaint as well as eco friendly. The views from the balcony were magical and being amongst several animals made for an interesting stay (the owners have a goat named Tacones, several dogs, cats, horses, chickens, etc). It is also... Living in a treehouse is always a dream to me, it becomes true at El Cabito! indeed rustic and tranquil, and lots of animals, 6 dogs, 2 cats, 2 peacocks, 3-4 horses, truly funny! It is not a luxury accommodation, however if you like nature not afraid of bugs, it is gonna be an interesting experience! Rosa and Tomeu are... More

El Cabito was the best accomodation during our trip. It is a few rustic natural tree houses in the jungle, it gives you calm and a lot of privacy and they are full of cute details that reminds you that you are at a seaside. The whole place looks like from a lifestyle magazine and is also situated in a... More

We were staying at Grand Paradise during the big winds, waves and tides a week ago. Easy walk. When we arrived we were "awed" by the power of the waves crashing into the cliffs with seaspray easily going higher than the cliffside deck. But to hear the WHOOSH of air coming from the dragon's lair. What a roarious whoosh and... More

We booked El Cabito after seeing a review in the Guardian newspaper which recommended as one of the top places to stay in the Caribbean on a budget. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant served the best food we had in the Dom Rep - everything totally fresh and many dishes with a Spanish flavour. The view from the restaurant is... More
